NYC - Greenwich Village
The lower West Side of Manhattan is known as the Bohemian Greenwich Village or just The Village. Unlike most of Manhattan, the streets here are not in the usual gird that the rest of the island is. Most the streets here are named rather than numbered as well. The buildings here aren't as tall as high rises of Manhattan as they are the 19th century row houses and occasional one-family walk up apartments.
There is commotion in one of the row houses. The sound of shattering glass, things falling to the ground, and shouting. There is the clanging of metal, and then there is a scream, then there is silence. This is about when Kalindi walks out of the house, eyes glowing an eerie black, as if drawing in light straight from the air. She has an annoyed expression on her face and a few spots of blood on her brightly coloured clothes. She wears fancy jewelery, anklets, rings, necklaces and so on, and has her hands tightly clutched around the straps of her backpack. If one were to be near, that person would hear the sound of grating teeth.
Michael raises an eyebrow as on, what is clearly a walk about, he sees a crazy glowing black eyed woman wearing jewelry and blood. A cellphone is taken out quickly, and dialed. "S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ, this is Paladin Actual, I have a situation in Greenwich Village, at my location."
Annalisa was simply walking down the street. She seemed to get lost, and didn't really knew where she was. Shes wearing a simple pair of denim shorts, a pink tank top, and a pair of simple sandals. Annalisa perks an eyebrow as she hears the noise, and glances over at the odd girl coming out of the building.
Kalindi sighs irritably at seeing other people outside and clearily noticing her but, hoping that they aren't the types to get involved, just walks to the front of the way and tries to calm herself enough to get the glow out of her eyes. She tugs hard on the backpack to try and get it to rest comfortably on her shoulders.
Michael shakes his head a little bit and approaches the woman, even as her eyes stop glowing. "Ma'am, I'm going to have to ask you to stay here, and to please explain the blood you have on you, as well as the screaming and the like." Michael says, his hands resting easily on his sides.
Annalisa stays at a safe distance, and watches the scene unfold, trying not to attract attention to herself, she is waiting to see how the young woman reacts, and what is exactly is happening.
Kalindi turns, and her jewelery seems to crawl over her skin as she does so to form a mask. She stares a few moments at Michael and says, "What? I can't stay here, I have things to be doing today." Her accent is strange. Otherworldly. It does sound reminiscent of a hindi accent, but there is something else mixed in there. It would be a feat, however, to recognize an accent deriving from a demonic tongue. "No, I don't think so. The blood is because, ah, I was there to talk to a man, he pulled out a knife, I hit him, he bled. Eh, you know how it is with these things." She does her best to smile pleasantly, but it comes off as a scowl. She really still has no idea how to interact with people like a normal human being.

Michael shakes his head. "I don't think so, Miss. My name is Lt. Colonel Michael Pola and I'm with SHIELD. I've contacted them, and they have likely contacted the Police as well, who are on their way. Someone comes out of a house where there was screaming covered in blood and there are some questions that need to be answered, ok? No one is going to hurt you, if you cooperate."
Annalisa carefully sneaks up behind the officer, not too close, but close enough to try and listen in. Shes not very good at it, but, she wants to know whats going on in the area.
Kalindi shakes her head and says, "I do not think so." She shrugs her shoulders and her backpack falls to the ground with a loud 'CRACK' as it smashes hard into the pavement. "I can't take that risk, I apologize. The man in there, he is a bad man, so what is the difference?" Her bracelet seems to come undone around her wrist, and appears to be attached to the fallen backpack.
"Because crime is crime, Miss, no matter who commits it." Michael says as he watches her drop the backpack, noting the crack. He is in a very easy position, arms loose at his sides, as he watches and speaks. "It really will go better for you if you do not cause any more trouble, I promise."
Annalisa perks her eyebrow a bit, but continues to idly watch the scene unfold, still curious to see if the officer will arrest her or not.
"No, it will not go better for me if I do that." Kalindi's eyes flash black again and she seems to quickly raise a thin shield of gold between her and Michael from the backpack, the gold eventually wrapping around her into a fine armour. "I think that you misunderstand the truth here."
Michael is, by long dint of military service and an accepted application by the staff, one of the best gunfighters in the world. It is apparent as he takes a couple of quick steps back and draws a pistol from underneath his coat. "Ma'am, I'm not sure either of us fully understands what's going on right now, but understand this. If you are a threat to the civilian population here then both SHIELD regulation and good samaritan laws allow me to intervene, and gold will not stop the round from a Colt .45."
Annalisa gasps loudly at the sudden "golden girl" transformation, and the appearance of a gun. She gasped loud enough to make her presence painfully obvious, if it wasn't before. She mutters under her breath. "Is she a mutant?"
"There is something to be said about how much will I have over this. It will not be the gold protecting me, it will be the mind guiding it," says Kalindi, clearly annoyed. She picks up her backpack, "I am just using this to protect myself while I leave. If you take any action against me or look like you will, I will be forced to do to you great harm. This is not something either of us would want." She glances at Annalisa once she actually -notices- the other girl's presence, kind of looking generally baffled at the question, but floats up a little bit off of the ground.
Michael gives a nod. "And that is truly an impressive power God has blessed you with, ma'am, but unless He is going to personally stop the bullet I still think the .45 round is going to get the better of it." He says, thumbing the safety off the gun and shooting at the hand that reaches for the backpack.
Annalisa lets out a scream, and covers her ears, ducking down and shutting her eyes at the gunshot.
While Kalindi's power is indeed a function of her will, the bullet doesn't perforate her armour but clearly causes a /lot/ of damage to Kali's hand through it. "AUGH!" she screams, tears forming in her eyes as she feels that pain. She swings her damaged hand towards Michael, firing off the the gauntlet towards his face, using her powers to accelerate it to a high speed. Black lines begin to form around her eyes as she starts to strain herself through the pain.
