Xaiver Mansion - Spuyten Dyvil Cove
This little cove leads off to Breakstone Lake. Students can go fishing, boating, and swimming in the fresh water. There is a small beach off to the side of the dock where students can also go sunbathing.
Late nights are nice for some. Jordan himself is taking some time down by the water, just letting the night air flow around him. He's got his feet in the water, staring off at the other edge of the lake, not really paying any attention to anything.
For the last hour Robyn was up in the art room lost in his own world when he decided that was enough for the night. Deciding that he wasn't quiet ready for bed, he figured going for a walk would be nice. So wearing a Nightmare Before Christmas tshirt over a pair of black jeans and a pair of headphone, he walks along the beach, stoping to pick up a rock and try to skip it across the water, failing. Bending down to pick up another rock, Robyn notices someone else in the area and starts to approch them slowly.
The quiet is too much, so any little sound gets his attention. Jordan turns his head in the direction of the approaching Robyn and smiles. "Hey. Quiet out here." He says softly, not wanting his own voice to be too loud. Sure, he doesn't know Robynm may not be able to hear him, but he doesn't care.
Smiling as he realizes it's Jordan, Robyn sits down next to him and pulls off his converse and socks. "Hey Jordan." He says and leans back. "It's a nice night out." He keeps his voice quiet too, well since Jordan requested the quiet. "How have things been for you?"
"Pretty good, actually. And yourself?" Jordan grins, scooting a little closer to the seated Robyn. "Haven't had much time to just hang lately. Been trying to get a control on myself." He's actually at a normal height. Well, normalISH. About 6 feet.
"Things have been okay. I tried scuplting something today but this new kids powers kind of screwed up what I wa working so I was restarting it." Robyn says as he moves a little closer himself. "And I was talking to your roomate last night…"
"I'm sorry, should I tell him to lay off of ya? He gets a little… overworked up and is rather forward and blunt." Jordan laughs, having no idea that anything else may have been said. He puts an arm over Robyn's shoulder in a mildly protective manner.
Robyn leans into the arm and sighs. "I don't know, I kind of snapped at him. Then he mentioned something…about you two…" Robyn says actually wanting to ask Jordan about something. "I mentioned that we were friends and he seemed to assume that we were together like two people can't just be friends or something. Then he mentioned something about you two."
Jordan tilts his head. "What did he say?" Jordan says, rather confused. HE really has no iodea what may have been said. "Come on, spit it out. You can talk to me." He says, reaching his other hand out to ruffle Robyn's hair.
The fact that Jordan doesn't seem to know what Robyn's talking about is reassuring to the teen. "He said that you two were fooling around. I really don't understand him. It's like any conversation has to result in something relationship related. First he's talking about how much he likes July then he mentions that you two are fooling around."
"He said WHAT?" Jordan's a little upset at that. And his body size seems to reflect that. As his anger hits, he begins to fluctuate rapidly. "I'll wring his scrawny little neck." It's said calmly. That, perhaps, could be the scary part to some.
Robyn tenses a bit and doesn't seem to say anything for a bit. Robyn just looks down and bites his lip. "I'm just kind of glad it isn't true. You're not really going to hurt him right?" Robyn says and as much as he isn't a big fan of Vlad, he doesn't want to see anyone get hurt.
"That depends on whether or not he begs my forgiveness." That's all Jordan has to say on the matter, preferring to let himself calm down and sit there, quietly, with someone more important.
Robyn snuggles a bit into Jordan relived to hear that it isn't true. "So I guess there's another new kid in this school who I met today along with Eddie and July. They kind of gave me weird looks when I said what I was scuplting but I thought it was a cool idea."
"What were you sculpting?" Jordan asks, tilting his head as he looks at Robyn, stretching his legs out forward for a nice hard stretch.
"I had an interesting idea for a skull with a bunch of mice on top to form like a weird crown of hair and maybe a pair of mice to form the eyes." Robyn says as still pondering the details. "I have the basics of the skull scuplt out but the mice are going to be more difficult cause I really want to make them look fuzzy."
"Boy, I get a crush, and he's morbid." Jordan laughs softly, shrugging. "It'll probably look neat, but who's to judge. Art isn't anyone's business but the maker's."
Robyn blushes and looks down at his lap. It's hard to tell which part he's blushing at the crush comment or the morbid comment. "I like morbid things but I don't dwell on morbid stuff. I'm not depressed or anything I just find them neat. I have this one picture I really like of two siamese twins….what?" Robyn says looking up at Jordan surprised. "Crush?"
"Yeah, I mean, I'm snuggling up to you. I don't do that to just everyone." Jordan says with a grin, shrugging. "How are siamese twins morbid?" He asks, a little confused by that one.
Robyn smiles and bites his lower lip. "Well you're the only person I've ever snuggled up with." That's Robyn's way of saying that he has a crush on Jordan too. "Well it's morbid because they're sewing themselves together, it's kind of their way to prove that they'll never be apart. I don't know why but I've always thought twins were kind of neat."
"So have I, but… who knows." Jordan says with a shrug. "I wasn't one, that I know of." He leans a little closer in, breathing slightly into Robyn'shair.
"I'm an only child to my knowledge but then again I was adopted so I don't have a clue about my birth partents." Robyn says with a shrug. There's a slight shudder, but it's done in a good way, as Jordan breaths on his hair, and Robyn moves his arm so that it's around Jordan's back, pulling himself even closer.
"We should see if someone can find out about them, if you really wanna know more about them." Jordan says, breathing steadily. "We surely have the skill somewhere in the school."
"I'd like to find out, just to know. I don't want to replace my Mom and Dad since they raised me." Robyn says as he has a few butterflies in his stomach now that Jordan revealed he feels the same way. "I just want them to know that I'm not trying to replace them. Even if my Mom isn't speaking to me still, she's my Mom and I love her." Robyn says looking up at Jordan and just gazing into his eyes for a bit, almost like he wants to do something more.
As Robyn looks up, JOrdan decides to take some initiative. He leans forward, just slightly, to press his lips against Robyn's briefly before pulling back. "They'll understand. Anybody would want to know." At least, in his eyes, it makes perfect sense.
Robyn jumps slightly but he's glad Jordan makes the initiatie. He presses back slightly before Jordan pulls back and smiles. "My parents are over all pretty cool." Robyn's not mad at his mother at all for being uncomfortable with him being a mutant, he's more confused by it. "You're really good looking Jordan and.." He smiles as he leans forward to bury his head in Jordan's chest.
Jordan just stays there, continuing to comfort the Robyn as he thinks things over. "Well, my parents are just scientists. They're not of the cool persuasion." He chuckles, just content with the moment. Not really much more to say. He doesn't even respond to the compliment.
"My mother illustrates childrens books and my Dad is a small time musican, we don't have a lot of money but that doesn't really matter." Robyn says as he's learned there are more important things than how much money you have. Like spending time with someone you have a crush on. He continues to snuggle into Jordan feeling truely comfortable for the first time he came to school at Xavier's.
Jordan's fine with staying here for a while, just quietly relaxing. "Money's nice. But it's not so important all the time. There are much more important things. We all know that. It just takes some time to get used to and to accept."
"It's important being with people you care about." Robyn says as he squeezes Jordan's shoulder lightly before moving his hand to lightly rub the back of Jordan's neck. Awkwardly at first but it becomes a light stroke Robyn isn't focusing entirely on what he's doing.
