Xavier Mansion - Weight Room

All the weight machines are powered by hydraulics, you set the weight you want and your bench-pressing that many pounds, or even tons in some super strong students' cases. Punching bags, stair machines, bicycles, treadmills, weights, and anything found in your standard gym can be found here.

Some people have different ways of de-stressing. Jericho is one such. Right now, that destressing is in the weight room. The machines are set at half the normal level he sets them at, if anyone looks closely. Only ten tons. However, he's wearing his normal workout outfit, a pair of black shorts and a tank top with it. He seems annoyed, but he's doing his best to keep it quiet.

Having finally gotten in a shower and some sleep after his meeting with Scott and the fanboy-outburst that followed it, Eddie's asked around to find his Dads. Hearing that Jeri could be found in the weight room from a student with some really interesting tattoos, Eddie's made his way there. Dressed once again in his new white and light blue (and freshly washed) X-uniform, Eddie steps into the room and looks around. "Dad!" he says when he finally spots the older mutant.

He's grunting with effort after bumping the strength up another half ton. He can DO it, but it's heavy, hard work. As Eddie comes in, Jeri offers a smile. "Hey, son. Howe are ya?" He asks, popping his neck to the side and pausing his workout for the moment.

Dressed in a light blue button down shirt over a nice pair of khaki dress pants, Christopher peaks into the weight room, he's actually looking for someone else but smiles upon seeing Jeri and Eddie in the room. "Hey Kiddo, hey love. How's it going, I was actually looking for Kitty but that can wait. How are you two doing?"

Eddie jumps when Chris speaks up behind him, startled. "Hey Dad," he greets. "Ms. Pryde went up to get something from upstairs," he says, having passed her on the way down. "I'm…good."

"Coming down for a workout, Eddie? I can give you a boost so you can enjoy more strength." Jeri offers, still not having admitted to Eddie that he's at half his standard power, but with an extra… He looks at Christopher and shakes his head, "I haven't seen her, hon."

Christopher nods and walks over to give Eddie a quick hair ruffle before sitting down. "I am so horrible about taking the time to work out. I was just looking for Kitty since she's computer savvy and I need to replace mine. It can wait." He raises an eyebrow at Eddie and smiles. "Good? Well that's good to hear honey."

Eddie squeaks when ruffled and shakes his head. "Nope. I'm just staying ready for when Mr. Summers calls me. He says I get to be there when we call Forge," he says. He's also staying around for when its time for the rescue mission but he doesn't mention it. "I wanted to tall you something though!" he says, walking over and grinning. "I got a new power!"

"Ah, that's the guy that used to work for the government isn't it?" Jeri asks, resting on the edge of his seat. "New power, you say? Oooh, we're all developing." Jeri laughs. "After my shareknowledge. Though… it's not quite what it used to be right now."

"New power? I want to hear all about this." Christopher says with a smile. "Well I don't know if we're all developing, my powers haven't really done anything new recently. And Forge? Why what's up with him?"

"Forge is gonna help stop the invasion," Eddie states simply. "It'll be easier to show than explain…" he pauses, remembering blasting the chair from last night and letting out a nervous little chuckle. Shaking it off, he closes his eyes and focuses on boosting Jeri. The blue glow flares up and Eddie gets a little smirk on his face. "And now," he says. Suddenly, his uniform changes into a white and light blue version of what Jeri's wearing right now and the teen bulks up slightly. When he opens his eyes, he blinks. "Woah…this one's…" he pauses, clapping his hand against his leg and suddenly…two Eddies. They look at one another and squeak. "Woah!"

"Don't pin your hopes on something you don't know for sure, Eddie." Jeri says as he feels that old familiar surge of strength. He winces slightly. "Yeah, sorry about that. I got stuck with part of Mardox's power and lost half of my own for now." He thinks for a minute, grinning. "So, you really COULD be my son." He laughs softly.

Christopher blinks at there are now Eddie's. "Wow, four husbands and two sons now, I'm going to have to get used to this." He says shaking his head. "And yes, I agree with Jeri, don't put your hopes on it. And so you can power share like Jeri can, that's interesting Eddie. How'd you find this out?" He asks curiously with an amused smile on his face.

Eddie is distracted by his dupe at first, just staring at the blushing duplicate. After a moment, he shakes his head and reabsorbs the dupe. "That's just…wow…" he murmurs. Letting the boosting stop, his uniform returns to what it was when he came in. "Dad…" he trails off, giving Jeri a concerned look. "Mr. Falk helped me figure it out. Apparently I could do it all along but just never paid any attention to it," he says.

"That's often the way it works. If I had pushed, I probably would have learned what people's powers were earlier… or rather what they think their powers are, whichever." Jeri says with a nod. He reaches out to Christopher and chuckles, splitting his remaining powers with his husband before giving the man a quick thump on the chest, as well as his own.

Like Eddie, Christopher bulks up a bit and blinks as there is suddenly two of him after the thump on his chest. "This is weird." They both say at once. He looks at himself and looks back at both Jeri's. "You are one sly man." The two say with a chuckle. He's going to have to get used to this power. "This is just really strange but amusing how we can have a 'twin' family."

Eddie jumps at the duplications, blinking a few times. Looking down a moment, he decides to try something. Eddie closes his eyes and his scars light up. He focuses on boosting Chris but get a little more than expected. His uniform changes again…blue pants and a white shirt like Jeri's. He bulks up and starts glowing. "Okay…th-this…this is weirder…"

"Ah, so when mine changed, so did yours." Jeri says with a quick nod. "That works. And, Eddie? What makes you think Forge is going to stop the invasion?" He asks, trying to figure out where that came from.

Christopher concentrates and absorbs the second Christopher, it's just weird having two. "Oh okay, that makes sense. I think. I'm really amused that Eddie can now copy your power, and you can share yours with me love. That's a whole mess of Parker-Mayfair duplicates out there." He says with a chuckle before looking at Eddie, curious to hear this one too.

Eddie lets the boosting and mimcry stop, shaking his head. He looks down and takes a moment to concentrate before speaking up. "Well, he won't stop it on his own but he's gonna help us," he says. "I talked with Mr. Falk and from what I could figure out, the guy that built the machine sending their people here is their version of Forge. So…fight Forge with Forge. And he's really smart so even if I'm wrong about that he could probably build something useful."

"Eddie, son… what if it takes him months to come up with something. We might be able to get rid of the invaders faster without trying to wait and rely on someone who may or may not be able to help us." Jeri says with a sigh. "I think you're getting your hopes up to be let down. I know he'll try, but I'm just saying… he might not be able to do what you need."

"It's worth a shot to ask, but just keep in mind that he hasn't confirmed or agreed to anything yet." Christopher says running a hand through his hair. "And don't forget, the three of us are going to Tennesse when Scott goes down to see what we can do down there."

Eddie frowns slightly. "Why wouldn't he agree to help. And I'll help him if I can. Boosting and mimicing his powers," he says. "Besides. It's better to ask him and have something started than just not include him at all so he sits in his home doing nothing," he says. He squirms a moment. "I…I'm going on a mission tonight. I'm going with a team to get Dai back," he says.

"What if they've already thought of that angle, too, Eddie. They seem to know some of our people and gun for them. Dai for Dai, for example." Jeri says with a shrug. "Have y'all already tried reaching him?"

That is something Christopher /knows/ he can't tell Eddie not to do. "Okay honey, just be safe and make sure you and Daisuke and anyone else get home safe okay? Who else is going with you?" He asks curiously. "Just try calling him and seeing, it's worth a shot but just don't put all your eggs in one basket."

Eddie takes a deep breath. "Mr. Summers is going to call him later today before the mission," he says. "So far, it's me, Mr. Falk, and Hellion for sure. Mr. Summers is gonna ask one of the X-men to come…and maybe you too, Dad," he points to Chris.

"I'm sorry, I can't honey. I have to work tonight and I can't just cancel my apointments." Christopher says running a hand through his hair. "Well I have to run, I wanted to talk to Kitty quick and then I have to get to the salon." He says giving both Jeri and Eddie a hug and a kiss. "Love you both, see you later tonight hopefully, and you have my cell phone number Eddie, so if you need anything." He says before leaving.

"I… don't trust my current powers." Jeri says, pulling his powers awway from Christopher, so he can look normal when he heads out. "So, I don't know how well that would go over. Not to mention, there's been at least one weird me."

Eddie nods and takes a deep breath. "Alright, Dad…" he trails off. He returns the hug tightly and blushes at the kiss. "I'll see ya later…" he trails off. He nods to Jeri and then leans in to hug him tightly as well. "It's okay, Dad. I'll be fine with everyone else there. Besides, it's supposed to be a sneaking mission more than a big fight," he lets out a breath. "I should get moving. I'll see ya later…" he trails off once more before leaving the room.
