The Avengers, Earths Mightiest, have been a Government Sanctioned hero group for many years. They still reside in the Avengers Mansion, though it has been rebuilt within the last year due to an attack that left the Mansion in near ruins. The Avengers Mansion serves as both home and headquarters, a living space and training facility. Currently at the head of the Avengers is Captain America.

The Barnes Academy is a SHIELD run school which is for anyone with super-powers or equivalent. The Barnes Academy has a bit more militaristic feel and teaches students from age 15 - 22, teaching both high school and college. All Barnes students are issued school uniforms which consist of navy blue cargo pants, navy blue slacks, blue or gray shirts ranging from button down shirts to plain t-shirts to t-shirts with the BARNES logo across the chest.

The Xavier Academy for the Gifted has been a haven and school for mutants for the last two decades. It wasn't until about four years ago that it really became more of a school than a headquarters for the X-Men. Teaching in grades 6 - 12 Xavier's offers the best education that it can for the students there with a variety of classes. All students are offered an education as well as intense training in their powers. Currently the Headmistress is Emma Frost, acting head of the school after the retirement of Scott Summers. Charles Xavier is on a sabbatical in Genosha, and as a Liasion for mutant affairs with the UN, though in the last three years his only contacts have been by phone or video, and never in person.
Over the last two decades, Xavier's has focused on education and training, and recently more so on the younger students. Xavier's will always be a haven for mutants and has an open door policy, any time you wish to leave the school, you may, and anytime you wish to return as a student, teacher or resident, you are welcome as well. Only recently has the school received a state accredidation and some of the current students have gone on to ivy league schools

Xavier’s Squads have been Disbanded!
Staff has been talking and we realized the squad system isn’t really functional for our game at this moment. We don’t have the adult PCs to really head squads at the time and we felt that implementing a new structure on how danger room sessions work for Xavier’s students would be more functional. We feel that it will also allow some more freedom of role play in regards to training as well.
Since there are no longer any squads each student will be assigned three days per week that are mandatory for Danger Room practice. It’ll be like a rotating team, so on each day you would be with the same students but not for all three days. For example, Joe Smith has mandatory danger room sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Every Monday’s he’s with Jane, Adam and Sally. Every Tuesday he’s with Kyle, Angela and Todd then on Thursday’s he’s with Adam, Julie and Michelle. What three days your character has their danger room sessions is up to you, nothing will ever be set in stone.
Now those are just the mandatory danger room practices, if your character wishes to sign up for additional danger room sessions they are welcome to. Now what this does is get rid of some of the squad issues on an OOC level but it does gives players the freedom of Role Play more. Since you no longer have a ‘set’ schedule, it’s up to you when your character has them and when they don’t. Nothing is written in stone in regards to these sessions. Your character will also get to experience working with new teams and under new instructors as the instructors now rotate. (A mix of NPC and PC instructors).
In regards to uniforms, your character will have more freedom to design their costume as well, and you can imagine there will be a practical costumes course for those students who wish to attend. Every first Saturday of the month at noon you can assume this practical costumes class will be held.

Not quite ready for the X-Men, these teenagers and young adults are striving to become what they need to be. Some are professors in the school while others have graduated and just want to train to be better. They have regular training sessions with the X-Men and sometimes might be brought along on missions but they don’t have X-Men Status. Whether that leads them down the same paths as their predecessors remains to be seen.
X-Force's public face is as a mentorship program for students at the Xavier Academy, so that older students who are not student teachrs, they have the ability to give back to the school. Many former students return and offer this service, often times to students of like background or with abilities that they have knowledge of.
