Xavier Mansion - Pool

A large Olympic size pool sits outside at the edge of the property over looking Breakstone Lake. The pool, always heated to the right temperature, starts at a depth of 4 feet at the shallowest end, and gradually reaches a depth of 20ft. A diving board sits at the far end of the pool. Off to the side of the shallow end, a hot tub is built into the ground for those wanting to relax. Pool chairs and tables sit along the side of the pool for those just wanting to enjoy the sunshine.

There are few ways nicer to relax than sitting in a hot tub, letting the heat sink into you in the middle of winter. Skyler is doing just that, keeping all but his head submerged in the water. He's still copying Doc, since he found that the healing abilities of the man helps with the frequent gouts of pain that Sinister's mark has been giving him. Between that, and this soak, he's able to relax.

Robin walks out, wearing a standard issue Xavier's one piece bathing suit. She's still scrawny as heck, but she's been managing to put on a little bit of weight lately. Instead of her usual glasses, she's wearing a pair of prescription goggles with dark lenses. She had originally come out for a swim in the heated pool, but when she notices Skyler in the hot tub, her plans change. "Heya, Sky," she says, slipping into the warm water.

"Heya, Robin," says Skyler with a wide grin upon seeing his girlfriend. Once she's in the water he scootches around the bench until he's sitting close to her. "How're you doing?"

Robin smiles at Skyler and leans against him, "You know, you're way older than me now." It's just a statement of fact. "I'm doing okay," she says, glancing over her shoulder as if expecting something. And she was. Blank teleports to the middle of the hot tub, quickly displacing the water and making a splash. She blinks, seeming surprised at that, and says, "Umm, how are you doing?"

Skyler laughs lightly at the now large discrepancy between their ages. "I hope you like older mACK!" Blank's unexpected teleport into the hot tub caused a wave of water to splash into Skyler's mouth while he was talking, causing him to choke and cough. He doesn't seem to perturbed by it, though, smiling once he gets his lungs clear. "I'm *kaff* allright, I suppose. Sinister's mark is getting worse, though. The occasional pain doesn't bother me as much as the waiting for him to make his next move."

Robin blinks a few times and tilts her head slightly, "It's getting worse? That's kind've scary." Blank flops down on the opposite end of the hot tub and Robin looks at Skyler with some concern. "What do you think that means?" She's still not really well versed in these kinds of things.

Skyler rubs his temples as he wearily answers, "I don't know." A heavy sigh escapes him, "He might try to come and kidnap me, or something. Like he did with Dai a while back."

Robin furrows her eyebrows slightly and says, "But he won't, right? The X-men will stop him from doing anything?" She bites her bottom lip for a couple of moments, staring towards Blank, and says, "I don't want you to get kidnapped… I'm not strong enough to do anything about it, if he comes for you."

Skyler slips an arm around Robin and hugs her close. "It's okay," he says. "I'm not going to be leaving the mansion any time soon. Not until the X-Men figure out what's going on."

Robin puts her arms around Skyler and says, "Yeah, that'd probably be for the best. If you need anything from outside the school, maybe I can go get it for you? It's just been such a crazy year, so far, I don't know what I'd do."

Skyler sighs, resting his head against hers. "Thanks, but I think I'm set, and I know what you mean. The first year I got here there were alien attacks, and SWAT raids on the school." He shakes his head. "It's like we're not allowed to lead normal lives here."

Robin shrugs and says, "Well, it's still miles better than what I was doing before I came here, I guess. But I do just wish that I was more normal, and I could just focus on schoolwork instead of… um, demons and fairytales and kidnappings, I guess." She scratches her head lightly and says, "Ugh, and you probably saw me, unshaven after the kidnapping, too… Ick."

Skyler chuckles and shakes his head. "It's okay. It's not like that's something you'll have to do again any time soon." He gives her a squeeze. "It's not like you were Chewbacca or anything."

Robin nods and says, "Well, I just don't want you being the one getting kidnapped. And… I wasn't Chewbacca, but I sure wasn't looking pretty that day as I am today!" She lightly rubs her face and leans on Skyler's shoulder.

"Well," replies Skyler smoothly, "you've /always/ been pretty to me. I mean, I even helped you show the rest of the world that, too, didn't I?"

Robin smiles at that and nods, "Yeah, you did. I'm really glad I met you here… it was probably one of the best things that ever happened to me. Which is why I think I'd lose it if anything happened to you."

"Bah!" Skyler says melodramatically. "Nothing's going to happen to me."
