Xavier Mansion - Locker Room

Lockers line half of the room for students to store their gym clothes and uniforms in between training sessions. The room is divided in half, one side for girls and the other for boys. Both sides are identical and have individual showers for students to clean.

After a nerve-wracking Danger Room sessions, Daisuke has decided to go take a shower. It wsan't a session of defeat bad guy X or rescue hostage Q, it was his first attempt at trying to fly. So now, to relax and clean up from the sweat, Daisuke's been taking a long shower. The water can be heard shutting off and Daisuke steps out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist shortly after.

"Waaah!" THUD.
It's Eddie. At the door to the locker room and in his work out clothes, the teen sighs as he gets up. "Ow," he muttered. He'd just been in the weight room, working hard as always. "Dai!" he half-squeaks when he sees his friend. A smile and a blush spread accross his face as he dusts himself off.

Daisuke smiles brightly when he sees Eddie, the one person he's not fully embarassed with his scars around. "Eddie! Heya! I just had my first flying lesson!" He says. He'd help Eddie up but he doesn't want to risk his towel falling down.

Eddie stretches slightly and moves over to Dai. "You did?" he asks. "How'd it go?"

Daisuke walks over to his locker and starts to try to put on his boxers under the towel. "It didn't go great, but it didn't go horrible. It's a start though. Getting the frequency right is hard." Daisuke admits since he's just starting to learn there is a lot more to sonics than just screaming. "They're going to get me a training uniform with those weird arm things like on Banshees."

Eddie looks away to give his friend some privacy, blushing still. "That's great, Dai. I'm sure you'll be flying in no time!" he says confidently. "Awesome. The training uniforms are cool."

Daisuke tries to be quick. "Sorry for…making you..all blushy." Daisuke says once he finally has pants on and he goes to sit down on the bench. "I hope so, I'm just glad I am finally getting to actually learn that. So how have you been, how was your weekend?"

Eddie waves a hand and chuckles. "It's okay, Dai. Sorry for making you rush," he says, moving to join Daisuke on the bench. "My weekend…could've been better," he shakes his head. "Can I ask you something?"

Daisuke gives Eddie a confused looks and nods. "Yeah Eddie, you know you can ask me anything. I'd like to think there are no secrets between us." Daisuke says honesty as he really would tell Eddie anything.

Eddie takes a deep breath. "It's about your boss…Mr. St. Thomas…" he pauses. "How much do you know about him?"

Daisuke looks at Eddie and shrugs. "Not much, is..everything okay? I know he's from England but that's about it. Is this is a bad or a good how much do you know about him?"

Eddie frowns. "Well…it's just," he squirms. "I ran into him in the park over the weekend and he had this dog. Albee," he shrugs. "I dunno how but I saw it's leash break and then the dog kinda attacked me and started chewing up something I bought and he just kinda stood there and laughed at me. Not haha laughing but I could see it in his eye…" he trails off. "And then they suddenly had to leave like they were worried something was gonna find 'em or something and suddenly the leash was like it was never broken and it was the same one…"

Daisuke crosses his arms and tenses up. "I..I don't know if he has a dog or not..but..why..why would he do that?" Daisuke asks a bit confused. It's just kind of weird to him, but he knows Eddie isn't lying it's more he's wondering what kind of person Mr. St. Thomas really is. "He always seemed nice to me but..I'm sorry Eddie…" He might have to ask Mr. St. Thomas about it.

Eddie shrugs a little. "I dunno…I just got this feeling…" he trails off. "Promise me you'll be careful around him? I think…I think he might not be as normal as he appears to be…"

Daisuke sits next to Eddie on a bench just in a pair of boxers, his hair still quite wet from a shower. His chest, back and legs are covered in scars and the most noticable is the burn scar in the shape of a clothing iron on his chest. "Yeah, I promise Eddie. I mean we're not what we appear to be either but I promise, I will be." Daisuke says putting his arm around Eddie and squeezing his shoulder. "Thanks for looking out for me." He says with a smile.

Pallaton comes in just from that point, dressed in his training outfit. Looks like he just had some training time. He gives the pair a nod and a smile as he enters the room. "Oh, hello. You two just out of training, too?" Then he sees that Daisuke is wet. Mental face-palm moment.

Eddie smiles a bit, leaning against Dai. He's dressed in shorts and an Ironfist t-shirt, his work out clothes. He's a bit damp as well but from post-work out sweat. "You don't need to thank me…" he trails off. He jumps and squeaks as Pallaton startles him, looking around quickly before offering a slight smile to the wolf-man.

"No, I don't need to but I'm just grateful that you look out for me." Daisuke says and then he looks up at Pallaton enters. "Yeah, I had my first flying lesson in the Danger room today. I was getting out of the shower when I ran into Eddie." He says smiling at Eddie. Though he does shift uncomfortably a bit and crosses his arms over his chest.

Pallaton nods, looking impressed. "You can fly, too? I'm impressed. I'm not sure I'd handle it well, to be honest, but let's face it, I'm not exactly aerodynamic." He chuckles at his own joke, heading over to a locker, presumably his. Kinda strange for someone whose only clothing is a pair of pants to bother putting it in a locker, but then again, it is a school. Pranksters love gulliable peeps like that…

Eddie moves to lean a bit to try and provide a barrier between Pallaton and Daisuke's exposed chest. He knows how uncomfortable people seeing his scars makes Dai. "I fly on the Goblin Glider and I'm not aerodynamic…" he trails off.

Daisuke shakes his head still seeming uncomfortable. "No, I said I had my first flying lesson, I can't fly yet." Daisuke says with a bit of a smile. "I'm being trained to use my sonics for flight." As Eddie movies Daisuke looks around. "I…I should get my shirt.."

Pallaton nods, pulling his pants out of his locker. "Oh, I see. Well, it's still a good step forward. I mean, I can't exactly use my Terramancy to do that. Good thinking, though. Sound as flight… interesting." He sort of mumbles to himself as he thinks it over in his head, perhaps trying to get the physics behind it. Eddie kind of snaps him out of it, though. "I don't know how that works, to be honest, but I don't think it's along the same lines as self-propulsion."

Eddie gets up to quickly grab the closest available shirt to hand to Dai, smiling a bit. When Pallaton speaks up, Eddie takes a deep breath. "The Goblin Glider is electrically powered and moved with a high speed jet-fan system."

Grabbing the shirt, Daisuke quickly puts it on to cover the the long scars on his back and chest. Taking a deep breath he obviously relaxes a bit. "Banshee and Syrin both can fly so I knew that I could, can. I just have to practice to figure it out. And I'm sorry, if I snapped at you the other day Pallaton."

Pallaton pulls off his training outfit, slipping into his usual pair of pants. Or shorts, considering his size. Regardless, he's wearing something, at least, skipping the shower. He looks over to Daisuke, scratching his neck. "O-oh, no. It's fine. I'm sorry, too. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was better than you, not one bit. It…" he pauses, bowing his head to Daisuke. "I guess it was a wolf thing I let slip out. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that."

Eddie nods. "Songbird can fly too but she uses her sonics a different way…" he trails off. As Daisuke and Pallaton start apologizing, Eddie goes quiet and sits back.

Daisuke shakes his head. "I know I'm not the strongest person and I know I get into a lot of trouble and usually come out worse and having to have someone save me but I don't like feeling like I'm helpless. I have a lot of issues I still have to work out." Daisuke explains running a hand nervously through his hair, before looking at Eddie and gives a small smile.

Pallaton nods, closing the locker. "Sorry, it's another wolf thing. A pack looks out for one another, after all, and I guess what I do and think comes across as weird to you two. Maybe being like this has gotten to me, I dunno…" He shrugs, but a slight tinge of worry passes over his face, one that he brushes aside quickly.

Eddie reaches an arm around Dai and squeezes him. Catching the nervousness and the worry, he takes a breath. "Alright!" he speaks up cheerfully. "That settles it then. All friends again. I have some good news too. I think I figured out Leo's powers."

Daisuke can't help but smile and let out a laugh at Eddie and moves to put his arm around Eddie as well. "I didn't think we ever weren't friends, but really?! What's that Eddie and have you told Leo yet?"

Pallaton tilts his head. "Who is Leo? It's the first I've heard of him…" He looks ready to start thinking, which usually means people get accidentally ignored. Quick, distract him from thinking!

Eddie chuckles and grins. "Leo's a new student here. He's pretty cool but didn't know what his powers are," he explains quickly to Pallaton. "No, I haven't seen him yet but when I do, I will. If I'm right, he's got a really rare and special power."

Daisuke nods. "Leo's really nice, he's kind of got this positive attitude about him that seems to be contagious, you can't miss him though. He sparkles." Daisuke says and he doesn't say it like it's a bad thing. "Really? I don't know about powers the way you do, but what is it?"

Pallaton nods, and he, too, seems to want to know. So much that he just stares at Eddie rather than say anything, his eyes pretty much pleading to know.

Eddie grins and looks at his friends before answering. "I think he has a connection to the Living Light."

Unfortunatly, Daisuke doesn't know much about super powers and his mind thinks more on the scientific line. "Light…how can it be living? I know it's energy but it's nothing more than just that, nothing that makes it…well..living." Daisuke says, his brain obviously trying to figure it out while he waits for Eddie to maybe help him figure it out.

Pallaton nods, looking quite impressed. "The Living Light… is that what you call the Great Mother? A connection to such a thing… absolutely fascinating… The possibilities of that are endless."

Eddie shakes his head slowly. "No, well…" he pauses, trying to figure out how to explain this best. "Well, you know about the DarkForce Dimension, right?" he asks. "It's another dimension full of semi-sentient living darkness that some people can access via mutation, magic, or technology," he gestures vaguely. "Well, the Living Light is its counterpart. It's a very rare and very versatile power. I figured it out from his healing powers and that crazy charge he gives off when ya touch him," he admits with a blush.

Daisuke doesn't know much about the DarkForce Dimension either but he just nods along. "Okay, I think it makes sense, and yeah, that was weird. I never felt anything like that." Daisuke admits, but then he's never had a 'sugar rush' or 'caffiene high'.

Pallaton nods, but doesn't quite seem to get it. "So it's not shadow, but light… I don't think I understand how that can be versatile, but I don't know as much. I'm more attuned with the earth than anything else, I guess."

Eddie grins. "It's a weird ancient kinda magic thing," he says. "I'm not sure even Reed Richards understands them completely." And that's saying a lot.

"Man Eddie, I maybe Mr. almost was Valadictorian but serioulsy, when it comes to Super-Heroes and powers and such, you are the guy to go too. I know math and science, you know the important stuff." Daisuke says laughing as he leans against Eddie.

Pallaton chuckles, then starts to head out. "Well, I'd better go. I've got things to do before the day's out. I'll catch you two later, yeah?" He says, hovering in the doorway for now.

Eddie blushes furiously. "Dai…you're way smarter than me," he protests, squirming. As Pallaton starts to leave, Eddie nods. "Alright. I'll see ya later, Pallaton."

"Take care Pallaton." Daisuke says as he shakes his head. "Yeah, I'm book smart you're street smart. You know what counts in the superhero world." Daisuke says with a nod. He's not saying it to be down on himself though. "I jsut need to study that superhero stuff, maybe you can be my tutor this time.

Pallaton nods, giving the two a wave as he heads out of the room, off to do who-knows-what. Well, Daisuke might, but meh.

Eddie blinks a few times, blushing again. "You want me to teach you hero stuff?"

Daisuke nods. "Yeah, why not? I mean you know the stuff, I don't. And if we're going to be heroes together, I should know." Daisuke says with a faint blush. "And I should get dressed and go grab something to eat? Want to meet me upstairs when you're done taking your shower and we can go out for chinese or something." Daisuke says as he stands up to put his pants on.

Eddie nods. "Guess that makes sense," he says, starting to make plans on just how to teach the subject. There's a pause. "Sure. I'll meet ya upstairs and we can head out somewhere," he agrees with a grin.
