History

Having graduated from Xavier's, Pallaton decided to put something back into the school in his own way, deciding to offer to be the school's groundskeeper. Like other mutants, he never gave up on using his powers for good, training further and joining the X-Force. Having been told of his birth mother by his adoptive parents, Pallaton spent quite a lot of his free time trying to track her down. Ten years later, he finally found her and learned that, years before, she had divorced his father. The two arranged to meet in Manhattan, finally meeting face-to-face for the first time in 28 years. And for the last time. The Sentinels attacked Manhattan.

Trying his best to lead her to safety, Pallaton used his abilities to clear paths and sneak past. Upon trying to sneak through a building, it collapsed, crushing Pallaton's right arm and pinning him with it. Separated from his mother, he tried to free himself to no avail, until he heard his mother's pleading for his help, pinned under unstable debris. Knowing time was dangerously short, Pallaton did the only thing he could. Using his own teeth and determination, he removed the pinned arm, nearly passing out from blood loss and pain, but managing to keep it together. However, he was seconds too short, as the debris fell and crushed his mother to death right before his eyes.

Pallaton passed out at that point, but luckily was found by a small group of escaping mutants. They managed to treat his now-missing arm as best they could and wake him up. Thankful for them staying behind to help, Pallaton used his powers to help get them all out of the area and into hiding in the Morlock tunnels. While the rest aided with rescue, Pallaton wanted to get into the field and take the fight back to the Sentinels. For months, Pallaton studied how the escaped mutants would use the scrap they found for whatever was needed and came upon the idea of assembling a replacement arm. He couldn't do it by himself, but a few of the more tech-inclined mutants helped build, and install, a replacement.

Pallaton didn't stop there, though, using scrap and tools to armor himself further, earning the nickname 'Junkyard Dog' in the tunnels. He had a mission, and that was to turn things back to the way they were. Inside, however, he was just holding on to the old times as the world around him fell apart, retreating inside his scrap armor. Having failed before, he vowed off his Terramancy, blaming it and himself for not saving his mother, replacing them with whatever he could find to become stronger, to protect people as he did before.

Abilities

Powers

Throughout the years, Pallaton's strength has grown considerably. With the aid of his prosthetic arm, Pallaton can lift up to ten tons of weight with ease, although can reach up to twenty-five tons for a few seconds if putting his all into it. Furthermore, blows with his fists can punch through reinforced concrete in one or two punches.

Skills

As a necessity of living in the current time, Pallaton has learned the basic use of tools and resources. Mostly, this results in Pallaton creating 'armor' from the various pieces of scrap metal he finds, often patching up his current armor on the field or replacing it entirely. The armor he makes is simply pieces of scrap welded together into a shape suited to him, but still easily removable. Such armor is usually only good to stop standard weaponry, but against more powerful foes, its protective property is significantly reduced, sometimes becoming more of a hinderance than a help.
