History
During the summer of 2010, Xavier's Academy had a Parents weekend. They even paid for many of the parents to come and visit. Cam's parents were some of the ones that came. Unfortunately for them, Arcade took over the school, and captured them. They were part of a murderworld trial for Cam. Cam failed. He watched his parents killed in front of his eyes.
This hardened Cam to a lot of things, though it was helped that the VonThurstons basically took him in with Dunstin's approval. He started moving to turn his powers in new directions, learning new potential abilities with them. When he graduated, the VonThurston's even paid for him to go to Johnson and Whales, near Dunstin. When Xavier's was attacked, he knew it was time to start getting involved. Sure, he can't be a front-lines fighter, but he knew he could help in his own way.
Ten years ago, Cam was turned into a Hound of Ahab. He's been with Ahab ever since.
