History
DJ continued his work on broadway until the registration act went into effect. Being a superhuman, he chose to follow along, since he enjoyed his abilities. Unfortunately, this ruined his career on broadway. But, there were still gigs for him.
When the sentinels attacked, he was grabbed because his powers were of a different type, and the government was afraid of certain deities getting involved in things. He was taken and had his memory removed. At least, that's what they think.
Beneath it all, DJ remembers everything. He's acting along as a hunter for now, waiting for the right moment to break himself and a few others that aren't truly willing away.
