History
Having graduated from Xavier's, Pallaton decided to put something back into the school in his own way, deciding to offer to be the school's groundskeeper. Like other mutants, he never gave up on using his powers for good, training further and joining the X-Force. Having been told of his birth mother by his adoptive parents, Pallaton spent quite a lot of his free time trying to track her down. Ten years later, he finally found her and learned that, years before, she had divorced his father. The two arranged to meet in Manhattan, finally meeting face-to-face for the first time in 28 years. And for the last time. The Sentinels attacked Manhattan.
Trying his best to lead her to safety, Pallaton used his abilities to clear paths and sneak past. Upon trying to sneak through a building, it collapsed, crushing Pallaton's right arm and pinning him with it. Separated from his mother, he tried to free himself to no avail, until he heard his mother's pleading for his help, pinned under unstable debris. Knowing time was dangerously short, Pallaton did the only thing he could. Using his own teeth and determination, he removed the pinned arm, nearly passing out from blood loss and pain, but managing to keep it together. However, he was seconds too short, as the debris fell and crushed his mother to death right before his eyes.
Pallaton passed out at that point, but luckily was found by a small group of escaping mutants. They managed to treat his now-missing arm as best they could and wake him up. Thankful for them staying behind to help, Pallaton used his powers to help get them all out of the area and into hiding in the Morlock tunnels. While the rest aided with rescue, Pallaton wanted to get into the field and take the fight back to the Sentinels. For months, Pallaton studied how the escaped mutants would use the scrap they found for whatever was needed and came upon the idea of assembling a replacement arm. He couldn't do it by himself, but a few of the more tech-inclined mutants helped build, and install, a replacement.
Pallaton didn't stop there, though, using scrap and tools to armor himself further, earning the nickname 'Junkyard Dog' in the tunnels. He had a mission, and that was to turn things back to the way they were. Inside, however, he was just holding on to the old times as the world around him fell apart, retreating inside his scrap armor. Having failed before, he vowed off his Terramancy, blaming it and himself for not saving his mother, replacing them with whatever he could find to become stronger, to protect people as he did before.

Abilities
Powers
Throughout the years, Pallaton's strength has grown considerably. With the aid of his prosthetic arm, Pallaton can lift up to ten tons of weight with ease, although can reach up to twenty-five tons for a few seconds if putting his all into it. Furthermore, blows with his fists can punch through reinforced concrete in one or two punches.
Due to losing his right arm, Pallaton's claws only apply with his left hand. They are razor sharp and can tear through most normal fabrics, though armor is still a problem. However, he has learned best where to slash for maximum killing power.
Pallaton's senses have grown to be even more acute than before. Allowing him the ability to pick up on the scents of various people as well as hear in a wider range of frequencies, Pallaton is now able to pick out familiar scents in a crowded area, with his hearing enjoying a similar benefit. He can pick up on scents about three weeks old (depending on the strength of the smell to begin with), though intense scents and sounds can overpower him.
Pallaton's agility has taken a hit since losing his arm. Due to the size and bulk of the replacement, Pallaton is a bit slower than he was before, only able to reach a speed of 20 km/h without too much effort. Furthermore, he isn't quite as agile in combat, often failing to get out of the way of an incoming attack.
Pallaton's terramancy had grown somewhat before the Sentinel attacks, but afterwards a self-imposed ban on these abilities had been placed. Though he still has access to them, he doesn't use them at all. If he were to use them again, he would be able to create, shape and control a cubic meter-and-a-half of rock with little effort, so long as it was in contact with his body. He could shape up to four cubic meters otherwise, though around five to ten minutes of use would tire him.
Having lost his right arm, Pallaton had aquired help in constructing a replacement from scrap and leftover materials in the wake of the Sentinel attacks. The result was a prosthetic arm that was larger than a normal arm, but functional. Pallaton has modified it little by little to cover the internal workings of the arm and protect them from damage, as well as creating a sliding mount for a chainsaw that he found, which can be attached and removed or stored inside a hollowed segment of the arm. However, the chainsaw isn't as reliable as normal due to its modifications to run as part of Pallaton's body, especially when wielded as a weapon. Due to this, it can cut out or refuse to start at times.
Pallaton's weakness still remains, although it now takes twenty seconds or less for a chemical to have an effect on him.
Skills
As a necessity of living in the current time, Pallaton has learned the basic use of tools and resources. Mostly, this results in Pallaton creating 'armor' from the various pieces of scrap metal he finds, often patching up his current armor on the field or replacing it entirely. The armor he makes is simply pieces of scrap welded together into a shape suited to him, but still easily removable. Such armor is usually only good to stop standard weaponry, but against more powerful foes, its protective property is significantly reduced, sometimes becoming more of a hinderance than a help.
When a child, Odakota taught Pallaton the necessities to survive in the wilderness, should they become useful, as well as honing Pallaton's abilities with his senses. This also includes the uses of wild plants for various tasks, such as their medicinal use or ability in cooking or preparing food. Though these skills are not potent, they will allow him to survive in various environments for around a week.
Pallaton's own curiosity into his origins resulted in him dabbling in medical sciences, learning basic CPR and anatomy, as well as the more popular theories on how mutants came to be. Using this knowledge, Pallaton can perform basic CPR, treat minor wounds and create short-term fixes for more serious injuries, as well as other similar techniques, should the need arise. More complex tasks, such as surgery, are out of his capacity. Such skills are about as potent as a trainee EMT.
Raised by Odakota and Takoda to be a Native American, Pallaton learned many of the traditions and myths that still circulate today. Though a seemingly niche knowledge, Pallaton finds refuge in old traditions when things go wrong. Knowledge of the myths and legends also helps him within certain situations, but again, is rare.
