Xavier Mansion - Recreation Room

What was once the Parlor has been turned into a Recreation Room for the students. A nice plush carpet meets the light blue walls giving it a homey feel. A pool table at one end, a foos ball table at the other, and entertainment center with video game systems, movies, and of course, cable TV. Big comfy chairs and couches surround a coffee table for comfortable loafing. Long glass windows with a pair of French doors line one side of the room bringing in plenty of light during the day. The main rule in here is to clean up after yourself.

Even though Robyn came home two days ago, he had to visit his parents, after taking a really long shower, and now he's back at school because he's already being thrown back into classes. Now he's looking for friends that he hasn't seen for over a month, mainly Rashmi, since he heard she was hanging around. Looking in the rec room, Robyn notices he's the only one there and sighs and sits down. He takes out his phone figuring that's the best way to find out where she is and starts to text her.

Rashmi, likewise, has spent the better part of the last couple days roaming the Mansion, searching for those friends she'd missed in the Medbay tours. While the Rec Room has never been one of her personal hangout spots, she knows well how much it is for most of the other students, and so she peeks her head through the cracked door, eyes lighting up upon spotting a familiar mop of hair rising over the back of the couch. "Robyn! *There* you are!!"

Jumping off the couch, Robyn rushes over to grab Rashmi in a big hug with a smile on his face. "I've been looking for you. Sorry I didn't find you earlier I went home yesterday and had class today." He says while giving her a tight hug. "I missed you." He admits before finally breaking the hug. "You've been okay? I mean..you haven't been worrying yourself to death have you?"

Rashmi wraps her arms around Robyn, grinning widely. "Well of *course* I have! I mean c'mon, what, two dozen students *and* staff up and disappearing, including a Barnes student *and* teacher? What's not to worry about? …Well okay, I had help, since Barnes asked me to be their eyes on the inside, and Addison needed me to be the go-between for students and staff, and I had my classwork I wouldn't give up… But anyway! You're all back!"

Robyn gives Rashmi a puzzled look. "A Barnes teacher? I just thought they were both students since they both used to go here." Then he remembers, Rashmi doesn't know who Troy really is. "Yes we are, and next time I'll try not to worry you as much. Though I'm surprised you had time to worry with how busy you keep yourself." He says with a smile not really meaning it. "So…when do we go out and get some food that isn't vegetables in a pot?

"You're half right," Rashmi says wryly. "I talked to Mr. Alleyne last night; turns out Troy was *Leo,* can you believe it! Here I am, singing his praises like he deserved a memorial *right to his face!*" Blowing a lock of hair away from her face, she looks at Robyn, wrinkling her nose. "I'm not sure whether to smack him or just hide until the joke's old. … …But yes! Dinner! As soon as you want, Robyn, I'm not going to be able to go back to work until next week, and I'm staying at the school for a couple days so I can get my report together."

"Smack him." Robyn says agreeing to that before shaking his head. "Seriously though, he was so grumpy at first but I dunno, things were always kinda weird between Leo and I. It was odd seeing him but also nice to know he didn't die." He admits. "Oh so you talked with David, what did he tell you? And anything you want to ask me about what happened, I'll answer. I really don't know where to begin."

"Well," Rashmi says slowly, "… …is it true that some people had to get killed to get better? Mr. Alleyne told me about Mike, but I just… can't wrap my brain around it. You all were turning into movie monsters?"

Robyn nods and sits down on the couch and motions for Rashmi to sit with him. "Well, yes. Not all of us were turned into movie monsters but I was. I kinda became a ghost. I remember everything that happened but the longer I was a ghost the less I remembered who I was and thought I was this ghost. Heather helped me get better though by helping the ghost to pass on. It was kinda sad in a way. This ghost never really existed but it did. I was tethered to a stuffed bear and I think I'm gonna get Heather a bear as a thank you. She's…Heather's an amazing person."

Rashmi sits next to Robyn, a worried frown growing as her friend's story unravels. "That's… … …huh. Weird… I'm glad Heather brought you out of it, though… I think I should do something for a thank you, too. I just wish I knew what. Maybe a chess set?" The story seems to have shaken the redhead, somewhat, likely from having been placed in context with the stories of others. "…You're okay though, right? I mean… you seem like you're doing a lot better than after the other stuff…"

Robyn looks at Rashmi and takes one of her hands in both of his and smiles. "Yeah, I am doing fine." He says with a nod and a hint of confidence. "Just. I dunno, it was scary being there and sucked not having normal food or a shower and being stuck as a ghost but…it was also kinda of neat there?" He says as he feels weird thinking it. "I have so much I want to do art wise and also, being away from everything I was able to do a lot of thinking. I'm going to drop out of the extra squad team thing. Not because of Selene but because I want to focus on what I want to do, art. That's what I want to do and I don't need to feel like I'm strong with my powers to that."

"Good," Rashmi says with feeling. "That's *great* news. … …I mean not that you're dropping out, just that's a *really* good reason why, Robyn. That's the important thing, right? Whatever you do, make sure your heart's in it. Just, y'know, try to keep a watch or something to let you know when you should *eat.*"

"No, it's great news that I'm dropping out." Robyn says with a chuckle. "Just, should be a lot less issues that way too. I dunno, it was a bad situation that I got something good out of. I think it made me realize what I missed and what I wanted out of life. And I don't think I will forget to eat for a while. Do you know how much rabbit I've eatten over the last month?" He says making a face. "Everything there was so much like a horror movie, an old one. It was odd and…oh wait, did Kisha get back okay?" He hasn't heard about her.

Rashmi bobs her head. "It drove Theo and I *nuts* trying to figure out what in the world happened. She just… appeared a couple weeks ago, covered in… I can't believe I'm saying this, it sounds like one of Quill's pranks, but… pumpkin pie filling."

"Well she got swallowed by a pumpkin." Robyn says quietly. "And when we searched the pumpkin after we killed the pumpkin monster there was nothing in it. I mean, I think all the pumpkins were evil and I saw a bunch of crows attack us and…it was just really weird everything that happened. We couldn't find her anywhere so we all were just hoping that she was alright. I'm glad to know she was okay. David took losing her really hard though, I think he thought of it as a failure to protect everyone?"

Rashmi nods slowly, blowing out a breath. "Yeah… that's probably how I'd feel, too…" Closing her eyes, she shakes her head. "…I'm just *so glad* you're all all right. Seriously, Robyn… You have no idea how worried I was for everyone… And it was just *so many everyones.*"

Robyn looks at Rashmi for a bit and then wraps her in a hug. "I think you probably had it worse than us Rash." "I'm so sorry we worried you. I mean we were gone but we had an idea what was going on you…it must have been horrible. I'm really sorry." He says as he's glad to have his friend back. "Things were weird and scary but nothing overly horrible happened."

Rashmi shakes her head, wrapping her arms about Robyn's shoulders and returning the hug. "You couldn't help it, and it was a stupid accident that started everything. All that matters is that everyone's safe again, and I get to tell Mike's parents that it wasn't the school's fault. So, you know… bonus."

"It was some mage's fault. Alaric somethingBlack something. He didn't come back with us." Robyn doesn't know the details just that for some reason the mage was left behind. "Mike…he was really helpful at times too. Heather, I never realized how smart she was and how much she's been through. She seems so strange but it seems there is a reason for it. You want to go bear shopping with me sometime, find a good Teddy Bear for her?"

Rashmi nods. "Definitely… And yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, even just the way she sees the world would be enough to make someone a little odd, and I'd be shocked if that was all that happened to her… I'll admit, just the idea of solipsism infuriates me, but… I *do* like Heather as a person, even still."

"Solipsim?" Robyn asks not really familiar with the word. "Though I think it must be tough if everyone is slower than you." He says leaning back with a smile, just happy to be home and with friends. "I'm trying to think if there is anything else I should tell you about where we were..um…Star got turned into a zombie for a while. Connor when really crazy."

"Solipsism," Rashmi repeats. "The belief that you are the only person in the entire universe, and everything and everyone else is just an illusion. Y'know how people talk about 'that guy acts like the center of the universe'? Like that, only worse, because you *are* the universe. Which, y'know, annoys the *heck* out of me on principle. … And yeah, Connor told me about his Renfield thing. It's… well, it got him pretty hard. He's going to need some time to deal with it, y'know?"

Robyn nods. "Yeah…I think, well she told me something when I was the ghost when trying to cure me. I don't know if she cares that I remembered it but something about living in a world of illusions and the girl she thought was her best friend wasn't real. She cried when she was saying good bye to the ghost after telling that story. I think…a part of her is afraid that her friends aren't real. That they're all going to disappear or something. I want to show her that they won't." He then nods to Rashmi. "I'll have to talk to Connor later, see how he's holding up."

"Probably a good idea," Rashmi says. "Both of them, really. When you talk to Connor, though… go easy. I mean, you know Connor… And you know what he had to deal with better than I do. So it's probably going to be pretty tender for the next few weeks." Drawing in a deep breath, she looks up, an eyebrow rising. "He was asking me about Barnes, you know… I told him ask me again in a couple weeks."

Robyn nods. "Yeah well, things were rough for a while but I think I'm over it. James kinda disappeared with Jinx and the two of them stuck together. I was worried about them but I couldn't waste all my energy worrying over them, if that makes sense?" He nods about Barnes. "Well I don't know if Barnes would be better or worse for him, it could be the grasser is greener type thing but it could be better too.

Rashmi nods. "Could be… He was telling me that he wanted to *do* something, besides write… but there were just too many choices here. I'm *guessing* the agency part of it's something he's more comfortable with, but don't hold me to it." Closing her eyes, she leans against Robyn's shoulder, sighing gently. "Robyn… It's probably going to bug you with how often I say it, but… I'm glad you're back."

Robyn puts an arm around Rashmi and shakes his head. "Nah, don't worry about it. I'm glad I'm back too. It was a neat experience, but not a place or something I'd want to go through again. It was nice to just step back and think about what mattered though." He says as he wraps Rashmi in a tight hug again. "I don't wanna leave you but I gotta get ready for bed and for class tomorrow. How about tomorrow night you and me and whoever else can go out for dinner. Anything without rabbit."

"Sounds like a plan," Rashmi says, smiling. "….But let's not go to Coldstone, okay? …I'm sort of tired of watching that place get broken every time I want a treat."

Robyn nods. "It's a plan, no coldstone. Besides you can't get burgers at Coldstone." He stands up and smiles at the redhead. "You're the best, thanks, for caring about me and stuff. I'll see you tomorrow cause I'm gonna be annoying you with my prescene till you leave for Barnes."

"No problem," Rashmi says, chuckling. "Sleep well, okay?"

Robyn nods. "I will, you as well." He says and gives a quick final hug before heading off for shower and bed. Oh how he missed hot running water.
