NYC - Prospect Park

Located in the center of Brooklyn is Prospect Park. There are many paths circling the park for bike riders and walkers. You can rent a boat to take out on the lake, or stand on the shores to fish or feed the ducks. Many colors can be seen in the sky where the hill is in the center of the park from the many kite flyers. There can always be found a few peddlers in this area selling kites to those who wish to partake in the fun.

It's Friday afternoon, the start of the weekend, and Robyn's decided to come home to visit his parents for the weekend. He's also arranged to meet up with Jordan in Prospect Park so he currently sits on a park bench with his backpack next to him waiting. He's dressed in his usual attire of black jeans an a t-shirt with a skeleton geisha on it. He has a thick book in his hands that he flips through the images on the pages while waiting. The weather is warm and sunny and it seems like spring is finally in swing.

It's a few moments after that that Jordan comes from a bike path, walking casually. He's wearing a green top and jeans. As always, they seem designed for his body. He likes to wear things that fit him properly. He looks over towards Robyn and pauses. He takes a few moments to look around him before actually walking over. Can't be too careful.

Robyn doesn't notice Jordan is around at first, too absorbed in the Tim Burton book he's flipping through. He finally stops on a page and goes to rifle through his backpack and that's when he spots Jordan. Breaking out into a huge smile he pushes his book out of his lap and rushes towards Jordan to give him a hug.

Jordan can't help but laugh at Robyn's response. "Calm down, it's not like I've been gone for weeks." Of course it is. He just likes to pick. "So, what's up?" He asks, ruffling Robyn's hair briefly before he glances around again

Robyn runs a hand through his hair and gives a playful frown. "Both you and Connor always like to mess up my hair." Not that he really cares since half the time it's a bit messy anyway. "Stressing over college applications. I got all my applications out to art school and I'm just waiting. Other then that, things are great. Nothing bad has happened in months which is awesome."

"Definitely a good thing, then." Jordan says with a nod. "I've got a lot going on on my side of things." He says, noncommitally. But then, he's been doing his best to avoid being known publically for the things that they want him to do. "Art school, huh? It is getting to be graduation time isn't it? wow… I had forgotten."

"Only a few more months." Robyn says with a raise of his eyebrows. "But, Connor and I are talking about getting a place next year while I'm at college and he's deciding. Maybe Mutant Town, I'll have to see what kind of job I can hold while at school. And also hope I get some good scholarships cause my family can't afford college." As his parents just manage to get by for the most part. "I pretty much figured out that I should stop trying to think about whole super hero thing. I'm not a hero, I'm an artist."

"I can understand that one. Me, on the other hand, I'm sticking with what I've got going on for now, until something better comes along." That sounded a little more opportunistic than Jordan meant for it to, but oh well. "You're great. You'll get plenty. Probably will get enough to pay for school and a place to live."

"Everyone keeps telling me I'm great but still I'm worried." Robyn says reaching out to grab one of Jordan's hands as he's still grining like an idiot. "So let me guess, you still can't tell me what you have going on? Which is frustrating." He says but the smile doesn't fade.

"Of course not. But whatever you see or hear from the news or your teachers… don't believe itall. There are two sides to every story." Jordan says cryptically as he nods. "I'm probably not going to be welcome at all around the school soon." He shrugs softly.

Robyn's smile fades a bit as he looks at Jordan with some concern. "Just, don't do anything stupid okay? As much as you worry about me getting hurt, I worry about you too. And if you need anything, well, I am your boyfriend and I'll be willing to do what I can. And well…in regards to the school, I won't be living there in a few months. But I promised Heather I'd visit."

"I'm hard to hurt, remember? Things either can't touch me or they can't affect me." Jordan winks before shrugging. "I'm always careful. And what I'm doing, I'm doing to help those that can't help themselves." He states simply. To him, that's always a good reason.

"As long as you're happy." Robyn says as he thinks that is what is important, being true to yourself and being happy because of it. "I thought doing superhero stuff would be…good. Like being able to help people and such but I realized I wasn't happy doing it. Art is what makes me happy and ever since I got back from that demon realm back in Halloween, I've been a lot happier. So there's an art show coming up at the MET that I'd like to drag you too."

"Ok. Just let me know when, and I'll have to plan for it." Jordan says with a nod. "Gotta plan around work or whatever you wanna call it." He laughs a bit, shrugging. "And classes. They are making me continue my classes."

"Good." Robyn says. "School is important even if you're not going to college or anything. But they're doing this exhibit all about sculptures in different countries and eras and I think it'll be really neat. Though I'm nervous for next year cause I know I'm going to be average with everyone else and it feels weird."

"You'll learn and grow and surpass them all. Because you're better."Jordan says with a wink., "I know you. That's how it'll be, even if you have to force yourself… You don't give up."

"I just want to see what I don't know. I haven't really had a good teacher since I left my old school." Not that Robyn would want to go back to his old school. "I'm also happy that I have you, Connor and Rashmi looking out for me. You know Rashmi got kidnapped recently and Connor didn't really say much or let me go with him which..thinking back…probably was good. I don't handle that sort of stuff well."

"I didn't know, actually. Since I don't really keep up with anything schol related unless you specifically tell me, babe." Jordan offers before he bites his lip and reaches into the back pocket of his jeans for something. He doesn't pull it out yet though.

"Well yeah, Rashmi got into a bit of trouble in Africa. It was really bad from what I understand but she's doing okay. Her hair is really short now." Robyn says still not fully used to it. He looks at Jordan as he bites his lip and gives him a concerned look. "Everything okay?"

"I'm fine." Jordan says with a nod before he nods again and pulls out what was in his pocket. It was his class ring that he never really had a chance to wear. Along with it, a silver chain. Just because Robyn doesn't really have anything of his. "I may not be graduating from Xavier's, but I'll still be graduating at the same time…" He says before offering it to Robyn. He knows his fingers are bigger, thus the chain.

Robyn takes the chain from Jordan and closes his hand around it before wrapping both arms around Jordan's neck and giving him a kiss. He really doesn't care whose watching. "Thank you, I'm going to always wear it." He says as he goes to put it on. "You should come over for dinner tonight. My parents would love to see you."

"I haven't seen them in a whle, so ok. I don't have any plans tonight, I don't think. If I do, I'll still have time." Jordan offers with a nod. "As long as that's ok with them…" He says, drawing it out a little.

"I know it'll be find with them. They always ask how you're doing." Robyn says as his fingers hod onto the ring for a bit before picking it up to look at it. "Dad's cooking so it's not going to be anything really werid like when Mom cooks." Robyn's mother isn't the best of cooks.

Jordan can't help but laugh at that one. "It's not THAT bad. Unless she's trying to be creative." He coughs gently before shaking his head. "Alright, I'll come. Not that it takes much to get me to come for food."

"Oh man when Wholefoods opened up a few blocks away Mom went crazy trying to be creative. I think she was just curious though." Robyn says as he remembers some of the weirder meals. "Though I'll admit her chicken pot pie is really good." He hugs Jordan again and smile contently. "I'm really happy to see you again and glad that you're doing good."

"I'm fine. I'm always fine. Well, except when I was a demon or when sinister had me." Jorday says, ticking them off before coughing. "I'll always be ok from now on. Ok?"

Robyn nods and heads to the bench to actually pack his fallen book, brushing it off before putting it in his backpack and slinging it over his shoulders. He then grabs Jordan's hand and grins. "Okay." He says. "Let's walk around a bit before heading home. It's just the first really nice day since winter and I'm just happy to enjoy it with you."
