Christopher met Eddie in the park and took a 'shine' to him. Bringing Jeri along to help bring him to Xavier's, Jeri quickly became close to the kid as well. Eddie really stirred those paternal instincts in the psychiatrist, making him want to be the father he knew he could be. Since then, Jeri and Christopher have officially adopted Eddie.

When Jeri was younger, he had a fling with an older woman. This fling turned out to bear more fruit than he ever realized. After Andrea's death, Jared sought out the father he had only read in his mother's writings. It didn't take much at all for Jericho to accept him and realize that he was indeed Jared's father. Though they've only met, their relationship is destined to grow deeper.
