Xavier Mansion - Ramsey Dormitories Lobby

The lobby of Ramsey Dormitories has two elevators at one end of the wall along with the entrance to a cafeteria. On the wall are three pictures that say 'In memory of'. One is of Douglas Ramsey, another of John Proudstar and the last one is of Jean Grey. There are several couches and tables down here for students to relax. Large windows in the front and sides allow for a lot of light in the room.

Taylor is laying down on one of the couches, and given that it's around lunch time, that's likely not a surprise. There are more and more books around Taylor each day as the felinoid student struggles to catch up, but instead catches naps all the time. At the moment, Tay seems semiconscious, eyes opening lazily every once in awhile before slowly closing again. A throaty purr comes out in synch with the felinoid's breathing.

Cale comes bouncing down the stairs of the dorm - that's right, the emergency stairs rather than the elevator. That's how much energy he's got! He's positively radiating it today. "Taylor! Tay! Tay!" he bounds over to the sleeping cat, plopping on the couch and poking her repeatedly. "Taaay! Tay, guess what."

Taylor swats at Cale and then rolls over, the purring coming to an abrupt halt. At rolling over, Taylor just makes a yowl and then sits up quickly, having rolled onto their bad shoulder. Tay rubs their eyes lightly and then says, "What? What is it, Cale?" It seems that Tay is fully dressed to go to school, wearing a fitted jacket, white shirt and slacks, "What time is it?"

"Eep! Sorry Tay," Cale murmurs at the ocelot, "I forgot about your shoulder… anyway, it's lunch time. But, we're going to rescue my sister. I did some snooping around in the hospital's network yesterday and we finally have a good idea of someone who might know who she is… Anyway, this girl Tara and me are gonig to go pay them a visit."

Taylor shrugs a shoulder and says, "It's fine… I wouldn't have rolled if I remembered either…" The feline student seems to be in a bit of a haze, "Your sister? Is she okay? I hope you have good luck finding her. I'd offer to come, but with my injury, and my obviousness, I dunno… probably not a good idea."

"Well, actually…" Cale sighs, looking down at the floor as he swings his legs from up on the bench, "Actually, she could be dead. We don't know. All we know is that my uncle came and claimed he had custody while she was still in the hospital 'cause they were worried about blood loss or something… and then she was taken out of there. But, I still don't know why they wouldn't tell us anything. I believe they were in on it or something. If she's not okay though… he's not going to be very okay either," Cale says, still talking in the rather cheerful tone that he enjoys sometimes. About killing someone.

Taylor blinks a few times at Cale's words and then stares off, "Well… I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that she's okay, Cale. I'm sure she is, I mean, you make her out to be pretty tough or whatever." Tay places a hand on Cale's shoulder, rubbing it lightly with a bit of a frown. "I wish you guys luck on finding her, though."

"I wish you could come along," Cale sighs, leaning into Taylor's hand. "But she is tough. If there's a way for her to have survived whatever is happening, I'm sure she is. She knows… you know, like, karate. Kung fu. All sorts of stuff! In addition to whatever. Though… I think we were both pretty weak while we were in the hospital…" Seeing as they both lost a ton of blood probably… "We'll see. I'm going to make this right. Whatever it takes."

Tay nods and says, "Well, yeah, she's probably okay. I mean, I should hope so, if she survived everything before… and yeah, I mean, if there's anything that I can do to help you, Cale… I'm here for you. I'm just not sure if there's any running around to do if I'd be much help."

"I don't know… I'm excited! But, It seems odd to me that we were able to find out so easily and… I dunno. I guess the staff's been pretty busy with this whole Dracula thing…" Cale trails off, sighing. "And, I'm kinda scared, too. I guess this is pretty dangerous. What if she's NOT okay, and we walk into some kinda trap, too, even?"

"A trap? I doubt that anyone would try to be trapping you or anything?" says Taylor, raising a brow slightly, "I dunno, it just strikes me as a little unlikely." The felinoid brushes back some of their hair and adds, "But yeah, it might have been the Dracula thing that set them back, I dunno?"

"I dunno, it's just, it's really important to me. It's my sister. How can someone just get lost, and nobody does anything about it? Didn't they know she was supposed to come here?" Cale sighs, slumping back on the bench. "And anyway. I mean if we go talk to him, or, whatever, and he's in on it, and he lets his friends know? Or they figure out something's up? Assuming it's not just him. 'cause I don't think it is. He's too dumb to do something this on his own." Whether that's true or not, it IS what Cale believes…

Taylor nods at Cale and says, "I know, it's pretty dangerous, I imagine, I mean, if he's up to anything or anything…" The feline squeezes Cale's shoulder lightly and then puts their hand back in their own lap. "But I guess the people at this school are used to that kind of thing…"

"I just… I mean… isn't the whole point of going here so we're safe? And we can learn to use your powers?" Cale murmurs, "But, I don't think I can let this go on any longer than it already has."

"Yeah, I know. I understand, you've gotta do what you've gotta do, and I've never had a brother or sister or anything before but… I think if I did, I'd do everything I could to protect them," says Taylor.

Cale reaches over and hugs Taylor - gently and to be careful of their wounded shoulder. "Yeah. It just feels a little weird that I have to be the one to do it, I mean, the cops, Xavier's, whoever… But…" he trails off, shrugging. "I guess she wasn't technically a Xavier's student anyway, so there's not necessarily a lot they can do, if it was technically legal. Maybe that's why it's been so slow…"

Taylor nods and says, "Yeah, I mean, if someone else is the legal guardian, there's little that anyone can do about that. I dunno why he'd do that, if he doesn't like mutants, 'cause it's still illegal to do us any harm… even if the cops do sometimes look the other way…"

"Yeah, that must be it. 'cause if they go and do something illegal, then Xavier's itself gets in huge trouble and… gets tons of bad publicity… Or even starts some kind of race riots… wow, I never even thought about that." Cale sighs, "But I'm sure that whatever's going on there /isn't/ legal. I'm not gonna let something like that stand in my way. Anyway."

Taylor nods at Cale and then says, "Well, I should get going to class… but if you need me for anything I'll be there for you, okay? I mean, even if it's just standing back and keeping an eye on something or something…" The teen gives Cale a huge and then starts gathering their books, perhaps actually going to make it to a class today.

Perhaps, maybe! Cale smiles, "We might. I don't know. I'm not really sure exactly what the plan is, completely, yet. Tara is still doing some of the work getting everything together… I don't think it's going to be just the two of us though."

Taylor nods at Cale and says, "Alright, well, keep me posted about it. Anyways, I've gotta get going or I'm going to miss /another/ class…" The teen waves at Cale and then runs out to try and make it on time.
