History

The middle son of a biology professor and restaurant owner, Liam was diagnosed with akinetopsia as a child, the inability to perceive motion. Despite this problem, he became a skilled and sought after photographer, taking up a position at National Geographic for a time. He now lives alone in New York (alone save for his helper dog, Sasha), living on royalties from his photos. It is rumoured he may be returning to the magazine in light of a recent treatment that seems to have improved on his akinetopsia.

Powers and Skills

Time Stop: With the enhancements from Dr. Destiny, Liam is able to stop time for an area simply by focusing on a central point. The time stop is complete within a twenty foot diameter of his point of view. The time stop fails if he interacts with any external object (other than the ground; he may walk, but he may not open doors or even breathe during the time stop). Nothing in the area moves at all, even air. He cannot keep anything other than his own body, and physical objects that will fit within his hands, out of the time stopping. The time stop area is a perfect 20-foot diameter sphere.

Physical Adaptation: Liam's eyesight has been returned to normal, natural sight. However, his eyes are not able to take nearly as much as they could before. They've become exceptionally sensitive. Even 60 watt light bulbs are too bright, and cause some major sensitivity. Anything beyond is almost blinding. Walking outside in the sunlight is sheer hell and leaves him nearly as blind as he was before. However, he CAN wear ultra-dark sunglasses to help, but if those break, and he's out, he may not be able to see his way back; also, his DNA is altered to a triple helix. (This isn't a power, really, but deserves mentioning.)
