Magneto, the Master of Magnetism, has been kicking ass and taking names for over half a century. If you don't know who he is, you're either dead or you've been living under a rock.
History
He was born Maximillian Eisenhart, a Jewish boy in a good family… in a Europe where the Nazis were on their rise to power. They destroyed that family, but they did not destroy the boy, who escaped them, grew up, had a family of his own… only to lose them to a new form of hatred, humans against mutants.
Is it any wonder that when Max, now calling himself Erik Lensherr, found his own power that he turned it against humanity to the support of his own kind? He's been battling it out ever since, tackling anyone and everyone who might repeat with the mutants what was done to the Jews.
The people he was born into have a saying: "Never again!" Magneto has another, simpler version: "Never!"
