Barnes Academy - Danny and Troy's Suite

The room is a living room and kitchen combined, separated by a counter which also serves as the table since it's a small kitchen area on the left with all the necessities. For the most part the dimly lit kitchen area is fairly clean. As for the living room area, everything thing seems to be shoved in the area. A large 'L couch wraps around the back wall and underneath the windows. On the wall above the couch is are two Halo posters tacked on the all without frames along with a Star Wars Empire Strikes Back poster. On the other wall an entertainment center housing a TV, DVD player an various videogame systems. There are dvd's and magazines and cd's sitting on top of the entertainment center and on the coffee table in-between the TV and couch. In one corner of the living room two guitar hero guitars and Rock Band equipment sits. Next to the Entertainment center is a Piano with various piano books and sheet music on top.

Since last night was New Years Eve, Danny was working at the bar, which also means he was partying a bit while working. At around five am he stumbled back in, quite drunk, and passed out in his room. Just now he's waking up and in the kitchen staring at a coffee maker as he waits for his cup of joe. He's got a bottle of water in one hand and a bagel in the other seeming half asleep. He's still wearing the jeans he wore last night but is shirtless and shoeless a the moment, his hair a bit mussed form bedhead.

Coming out of Troy's room is the newer, less known around here face of Leo. He's dressed in decent clothing, more along with his old fashion. As he steps out, he pauses, waiting for Danny to look up. After all, he hasn't had an opportunity to talk things over with him yet. He doesn't know if it will be weird or not. He has a pack of cigarettes in his hand, as he was about to go outside, but he places them on the counter instead for the moment.

Once the coffee is done, Danny puts down his water and bagel and pours himself a cup to drink black. He makes a face from the bitterness and finally looks up. He just stares at Troy for a bit, sure he's seen his roommate looking..different but he didn't know the deal with that. "Umm…coffee?" He says awkwardly. He's not sure how to say 'why are you blond now? And for that matter look like you've had a face transplant' so he just offers the coffee.

Offering a half wave, Leo shrugs. "Suit's destroyed." He runs a hand through his hair, the halo above his head lighting up. "BAck to me. Natural powers again instead of the fake." There. That explains it all… right? Well, of course not, but it's an overview.

"You had fake powers?" Danny says sounding confused as Troy never told him the secrets behind the suit or anything like that. "And what's 'back to me' mean. I always thought you were you, you know..the brunette kid." He says as he sips his coffee and makes another 'bitter' face. "Can you start at the beginning cause you aren't making any sense."

"Ah, k. Beginning. Born Leo Osborne. Gymnast in training. Woke up with mutant powers. Sent to a school to help. Lost powers saving people from an evil demon. Became depressed because mutation regulated hormones and emotions. Found by SHIELD. Faked Death. Became Troy Bay. Got Power Suit to help stabilize personality. Got kidnapped. Turned into Jeckyll and Hyde. Remerged with powers. Became Leo again." He counts off his fingers as he explains before grinning a bit, a twinkle of brightness coming from his eyes. "Just an overview, if you want more, I can tell ya. But I wasn't allowed to be me. Per Colonel Fury."

Danny nods slowly. "So…Leo…should Ah not call you Troy anymore?" Which is gonna take some getting used to. "Wow…this is all, just not what I was expecting. Ah knew you were secretive for some reason but Ah never knew you were leadin' a whole different life. So…what are these real powers of yours?"

"You know the doc? Angelo? Similar to his." Leo explains. "But with more built in personal stuff. I can run fast. Always lit up. I can heal a bit. I can supercharge ya for a few minutes." He chuckles, nodding. "I was forced to be. But I don't have to be now… so, thanks for being there. When I couldn't be me."

Danny nods slowly. "Wow..yeah, so I'll try to call you Leo but I'm gonna be calling you Troy a lot since, Troy's the guy I met and got wasted a few times." He says with a small grin. "Well, I just hope you're not too different cause then it'd be like getting to know a whole new roommate. You got any weird quirks as…Leo that I need to worry about?"

There's a pause and a wince. "A few. I glow like a nightlight. And I can't get drunk… or sick, really." He shrugs. "I'll miss one of those." He admits. "But I'm a lot more cheerful and playful." He says with a nod. "Other than that, I'm still mostly me."

"Good think we're not sharing a bed..room." Danny says with a chuckle. "And too bad about the drunk thing but I guess it means you won't be drinking all my scotch." He says with a shrug as he didn't think Troy did it that often anyway. "So what did you do for the New Year Tr-Leo?"

"Sat back here doing nothing. I'm still not… quite comfortable being myself again. Because there are too many people that know Leo out there. Even a few students here know me as Leo. It's… a little disconcerting after spending a year as Troy." He explains with a shrug before moving to lean against the counter. "I can tone my light down some, now. It's not as overbearing as it used to be, at least."

"So is being Leo such a bad thing?" Danny asks taking a seat and finally getting used to the bitterness of the black coffee. He's hoping it helps with his hang over. "I'm sure your old friends must be happy to know that you're around?"

"Too many bad memories. Too many bad things I've seen and dealt with." Leo says, shaking his head. "Too many people I've hurt through my actions and words, too many people that couldn't deal with things. I don't miss the school I went to. But I miss some of the people there. People I will never see again, because I don't know where they are anymore."

"Yeah, Ah kinda know what that's like." Danny says. "Not so bad but, when Ah left home Ah ditched all my friends when Ah ran away. Ah have two Ah still talk to but it's weird. They moved out of New York City and it's strange not bein' around them. We grew up together an' all." But it was a while back. "So what about now, ya allowed tah tell people know?"

"Well, I couldn't hide it. If I tried to hide it, well, people would already have known from the kidnapping lately. I was around my old school people there." Leo says. "Fury said I could, but to not announce it to the world. I could tell my friends and folks, but I'm somewhat scared to."

Danny nods. "Well, why would you be afraid to tell them..your folks I mean. They didn't like ya bein' a mutant or somethin'?" He asks as he doesn't talk much about his folks in general though. "Ah mean, Ah understand it's rough. Ah had a hard enough time tellin' mah parents Ah had powers and such."

"They'd be mad for me not finding a way to let them know." Leo says. "And after being 'dead' for a year…" He says with a shrug as he takes a second to open the fridge and take a look inside.

"They might just be happy tah know they're son is alive and they ain't gotta worry 'bout it anymore." Danny says honestly. "Ah ran away from home when Ah found out Ah had powers. Mah folks ain't the easiest tah get along with so Ah got scared, Ah ran away. Three years later Ah got the nerve to come back home. Ah was scared as all hell, but…Ah think it was worth it. At the time Ah definitely do."

"Oh, I'm GONNA… I just don't know when." Leo laughs slightly. "I'm scared to just call them. I'm thinking I may have to take a trip out there instead of phoning."

"Well if ya want someone tah go with ya for support, Ah don't mind. But Ah also know ya might wanna do that alone." Danny says as he finishes up his cup of coffee. "Ah think ya should go out there tah see them face tah face, let them know that way. It's more personal and better than a phone call."

"If I took you with me, they'd think you were my boyfriend." Leo smirks. "They always thought that about myself and Jared. And he's just my friend. I haven't heard from him in ages either…" He says with a sigh. "I know his dads are still working, but I dunno how he is."

"Ah understandable. Are yer parents okay with that? Ah mean, if ya did have a boyfriend?" Danny asks going for the water now that he's done with his coffee. "Well try tah get in contact with you yer comfortable with. Ah mean this must be nice though, you finally get to be yerself and not hide."

"Oh, They know about that." Leo laughs. "Please. I'm a gymnast. It's rather standard." He laughs, planting his hands on the counter and lifting himself up, spreading his legs in a near-splits. It's an awkward angle, so he can't do it for very long. "It's… it is nice. I never got fully used to the friction thing. At least this… I know how to use."

Danny can't help but smile and chuckle as Leo shows off his abilities. "That's the part mah folks had an issue with. They didn't care when Ah told 'em Ah had super powers but when Ah came out tah them, well, Ah ain't welcome back at home anymore." He says with a shrug. "But Ah'm pretty sure yer folks will be more happy that yer alive then be pissed off and hurt ya didn't tell them."

"Ohyeah, I don't sleep much. So I'll have more time to clean and help around here." Leo laughs. "One of the joys of this power set. And I will talk to them. I just have to get myself ready. I feel bad for lying to them, but they wouldn't have enjoyed being around me before. I think my dad will be madder that I'm working for SHIELD than anything. Too close to the military for his likes."

"Ah wish Ah didn't have to sleep so much. Having to work both jobs sometimes drains on me but Ah'm not gonna leave either job cause Ah like 'em both too much." Danny says with a smile. "Well as long as yer happy with yer job here, Ah'd hope he'd understand with all that."

"Well, if you ever need a pick me up…" Leo offers before grinning and reaching out a hand to Danny. If he takes it, any hangover will be wiped from his system, along with the standard energy boost like a few espresso shots, sans jitters. "I'm available. And this is without trying." He laughs.

Danny looks at Leo's hand and takes it slowly. Once the rush hits him and grins. "Wow..that's pretty awesome. Thanks Tr-Leo. Ah can't believe my hangover is gone already. Wow, Ah gotta remember that. But right now Ah gotta hit the shower. It was a long night." He says as he walks over to Leo and pats his shoulder. "Thanks for lettin' me know. If ya need anything, let me know."

"No problem. Thought it might come in handy." Leo laughs. "Anyway, I gotta get to making sure I've got the right classes next semester. Troy and I were on different wavelengths." He laughs.

Danny waves and starts to head to the bathroom. "We'll talk later Leo. And seriously, ya need help with anything, let me know." He says before closing the bathroom door.
