Xavier Mansion - Art Room

The Art Room has pictures of classic artists and small sculptures of famous pieces of art around the room. Any art supply you need may be found in this room, a large variety of paints, charcoals, markers, pencils, clays, canvases, easels, paper, and much more are accessible for the students. A large kelm is in one of the far corners of the room as well. On one side of the art room are a few sewing machines with a large variety of fabrics and sewing supplies for the students as well.

"As long as my voice isn't orange of yellow." Robyn says hopefully but he knows it's probably this green since he's a slow talker to her. "Honestly magic confuses the hell out of me. It's something I'd be happy staying far away from but again, x-gene, weirdness magnet. But at the same time, I don't think I'd change it." Not like he used to say. "Is purple your favourite colour Heather?"

"Oh! Okay…" Rashmi tilts her head, puzzled by this revelation, but quite determined to find understanding. "So… sound is color for you? Or just speech?"

"I see sounds, yes," explains Heather, "I didn't realize it was unusual until Chloe told me that she doesn't. It's just how sound has always looked to me." She then shrugs at Robyn and says, "I don't know what your actual voice colour is. The tape recorder distorts everything to a paler version of the same green. But yes, purple is my favorite colour. I want to alter my uniform when I'm not in a squad anymore to be purple and black."

"I think after I leave here I'll keep my squad uniform and just have it hidden in the closet for emergancies." Robyn isn't really the superhero type but he won't ignore a situation either. "So how it is you see someone's real voice colour, like with Connor?" He's just curious about everything today. "Purple and Black are cool colours." He looks at Rashmi and scratches his head for a moment. "What would you choose as your colouors?"

Rashmi lifts a finger, and flips open the flap of her bookbag. "…Actually I already have… hang on." A couple textbooks, drawn out and set on the table next to her, followed by a folded swatch of cloth, a warm brown edged in bright scarlet. "See… One of the neat things about Barnes is, college students get their own uniforms. There's a tailor in the Kitchen who does all kinds of work for powered people, and Barnes has a running account with him, so… Here's the top layer to mine." A pair of hard plastic bracelets dangle and clack together at one side of the folded swatch.

"Connor and Magneto warped gravity and electromagnetism in order to alter the time around me. It screwed with my timeshift for a moment, bringing me to normal and then slingshotting me too fast for a moment, then back to normal, but I got to hear what Connor's voice actually sounds like," plays Heather before approaching to examine Rashmi's uniform.

Robyn looks at the costume, garment, and resists the urge to touch it with his messy hands. "Wow…so you have a real costume." Real as in individual and not school issued. "That's…really neat. I'd love to see you in the full costume sometimes, just so…I can be like, I know her, if I see you in the papers." He jokes. "Who knew that someone actually made costumes for a living…it makes sense though." He says wincing for a second. "That must have felt weird, but was a relief being normal time for a bit?"

"Well if you see me in the papers, you could say that anyway," Rashmi replies, chuckling. "There's no mask or anything, it's just armored cloth and this sari. I never intended to have a secret identity, and besides if I put this on, usually it means I'm going to need to be sure if bullets hit me I won't die." Mentally rewinding to Heather's message, the redhead blinks sharply, eyes wide. "They did *what?* I… *how?*" There's a moment's pause, and she shakes her head. "…Nevermind, I've never been able to wrap my brain around how Connor plays cats-cradle with physics. What *was* it like?"

"I think my ability compensates for my frame of reference, but it takes a few moments for me to realize shifts, so it was very tiring. It wiped me out. It was very strange, too, there were portals and wormholes…" plays Heather, tilting her head slightly as she remembers back to that event. "At some point, I hope to manipulate physics as well as he does, but at the moment, control is not my strong suit."

Robyn puts his hands up. "Me understanding physics like that is like me trying to understand how Mike works." He says inside Mike's head, literally, once and filed it under 'don't think too deeply on how this works or anyurism might occur'. "That's good, about it being bullet proof. Since your boss is bullet proof and if you're hanging around with her, you never know when to be overly safe." No shoot Rashmis are good for Robyns. "I'm sure you can find someone here to work on control with you."

"Actually… If I know how Magneto works, that's probably what he was doing," Rashmi says slowly. "I mean, Heather, did you really *have* a frame of reference for what, um… slow-world time is like for us before that? And once you learn how to fiddle with your *own* frame of reference, now you know what you're looking *for,* right?"

"I need to end my wake cycle," says Heather, giving her standard excuse for leaving a room. She starts gathering her paints, putting them away quickly, but leaves the painting where it is so that it can dry properly. "Magneto was going to work with me on control, hence the experiment, but we'll see how that goes. And I used to be a slow-worlder before I manifested and was sent to the In Between." She stands up and then adds on the recorder, "It was good to talk to people. Thank you for listening." With that, she zips away.

Robyn waves to Heather. "See ya later Heather." He says before looking to Rashmi and shaking his head. "I still gotta get her that bear." He doesn't really state what he thinks it the obvious 'damn Heather had a f'ed up life'. "So how much longer are you going to be hanging around Xavier's?" He asks hoping it's at least for the next few days.

Rashmi nods slowly, both to Robyn's spoken and unspoken statements. "Purple and black, huh… I wonder if I can get a chess set in those colors?" Pausing, she blinks, looking up. "Hm? Oh. Until Friday, then I need to get my stuff back to Barnes. …Mostly I'm just making sure everyone's nominally okay, so I have a case to make for Mike's parents that, yes, it was pretty much a stupid accident caused by a stupid person who isn't able to be stupid anymore. … …Also I need to get statements from Ms. Frost and Mr. Summers, and I'm sort of really not at all looking forward to that."

Robyn makes a blah face at pretty much all of what Rashmi says. "So I only have you around here for two more days." He teases. "I hope Mike's parents are understanding, and if you need help moving stuff into the city let me know. I am going to my parents this weekend so if you want a ride to the city and to meet my Mom and Dad I'm sure they wouldn't mind." Save some money on a trip. "I think Mr. Summers might be easier than Ms. Frost. He's more of a cut to the chase kinda guy."

Rashmi bobs her head. "Probably… But I'm going to want to talk to them both anyway, Barnes was pretty clear on that. Just… well… I still think of them as Headmaster and Headmistress, so I don't like the idea that I'm taking their report, even if I have to, you know? This school's done too much for me."

Robyn stands up and starts packing up all his stuff to clean up. He lets out a sigh before going to wash his hands. "Unfortunately I'm gonna have to get going, I have practice." Once everything is cleaned up he walks over to give Rashmi a hug. "I know, this place has done a lot for me too. And the people here also. So, thank you for everything. Anytime you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you like you've always been for me. So..tomorrow night, let's do dinner, not ice cream, or something."

As Robyn washes his hands, Rashmi repacks her bookbag, nodding at Robyn. "That sounds like a good idea. Maybe bring Heather and Connor, too? They might need a little wind-down time, I think."

Robyn nods with a bright smile. "Definately! Sorry to jet on you, but I'll see you later!" He says before leaving the room to hit Alpha Squadron Practice.
