Xavier Mansion - Danger Room
A product of Shi'ar technology, the room generates apparently solid, realistic imagery by manipulation high-resolution force fields and holograms. The walls and floor appear as a steel room until a program is turned on. Overhanging the room in the center is a control Room managing the room's mechanisms to oversee the exercise while ensuring the subject's safety.
Most people who use the danger room have special scenarios set. However, Addison is not like most people. He's in here because it's power-shielded and it helps him find that peaceful center. He's sitting, hovering, in the middle of the room. The flaming aura around his body is always there when his telekinesis is in play. He isn't wearing his full costume at the moment, just the leggings, because he's simply relaxing. With the shielding up, he can still mentally reach out, but he's not bombarded by the thoughts of everyone outside.
One of the other members of the X-Force was going to use the room for a simulation, but as Brian enters the Danger Room, he realizes it's obviously occupied. The energy user looks at Addison and starts to turn around to move to the exit. "Sorry, didn't think someone was in here." Though his thoughts are saying more along the lines of ~Dammit.~ He's an actor, he can cover his emotions externally, but inside it's no hiding.
"It's fine. You're more than welcome to share." Addison says, opening his eyes and tilting his head. "I just like the peace and quiet in here. It's… hard to block out the school." He explains, landing on the floor and extending his legs. "I believe… we're to be working together in the future, aren't we?" He asks, tilting his head again. "I'm Addison."
Brian looks to the other team member. "Yes, we're on the X-Force together." He says. Normally he chooses the Japanese Gardens to meditate. "I'm Brian." His tone is all business with a light hint of frustration, though he was already like that when he came in. "I agree, too many people. At least they made a dorm building outside."
"That, in and of itself, has saved my headache the past few days." Addison agrees with a smile. "I'm just… not used to keeping people out of my head. Farouk's control wrecked my shielding." He sighs, with a shrug. "Please, feel free to do whatever you need. I'm simply relaxing here." He motions, moving to the side of the room, so there's plenty of room for Brian to work.
"I uhh, it's…" He figure's Addison will find out sooner or later. "Just warning you, you will most likely feel something from me. Danger Room, insert entity: Mister Sinister. In AI dummy mode, no aggression." A hologram comes on with the appearance of Mister Sinister. Thoughts of fear, anger and hostility flood from Brian. Before the young man in the containment suit moves closer to the dummy and stares into his red eyes. "Goddamn you." He whispers to that husk of a hologram before a boom reaches out into the Danger Room and the Sinister is sent flying into the wall. Brian's arms letting whisps of crimson mist after the discharge.
"I can handle it." Addison nods as he watches, letting himself see Brian on a different level. He watches the power flows as well as the emotion flowing, remaining in the side of the room. As the Sinister is sent flying, he erects a shield about himself. "He must have hurt you." He says simply. There's no emotion there, simply stating fact. Addison doesn't judge. Considering some things he's done without being in charge…
"He did, and to people I consider family." Memories of Brian's skin pale with cracks in it, black energy flowing from his hands. "He made me Death." He doesn't reveal the others names but Brian does move to the Mister Sinister. Taking off his right gauntlet and giving it a punch as hard as he can, a yell rings out as the Sinister is punched. Coming from Brian. Even through Emma's fighting off of his Death personality, Brian is still scarred by it. "This bastard kept me from school, from seeing my family." he wants to cry so bad, but cannot. If he'd known Addison more he may have gone on about it, but he stops, takes a long sniff and returns his composure. "Remove simulation 'Mister Sinister'." And then he's gone. Brian put

Brian puts back on the gauntlet before moving to the center of the room, assuming the lotus position and closing his eyes.
"I understand." Addison nods softly. Considering where he came from and what he's been through, he feels much the same way about the Shadow King. Though he sees the things in Brian's mind, he doesn't comment, instead acknowledging the strength of character it's taken to get back. "Why do you wear the gauntlets?" He asks, just looking things over. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't intrude."
Brian answers Addison's question with his eyes still closed. "Because, they are a part of the suit, but since I had to wear it while I slept, when you take both gauntlets off, the pattern on my arms and my chest stop glowing. It was for my former roommate's sanity mostly." Brian's suit is much like Havok's in that there's the indicator circle, and the integrated circuit pattern. Only Brian's glow red. It seems Brian's also changed his hair to dark crimson as well, thanks to Christopher.
"Mm." Addison nods softly as he listens in. "Have they given you a private room now?" He asks, watching power flows as Brian feels them. Basically, feeling how Brian feels the power. It's just a piggy back issue he uses to help teach and help in concert work. But, he changes the subject. "Do… do you suppose they'll ask us to help when they get rid of Shadow King?" He asks, a wave of flame engulfing him momentarily. "I have a feeling that my feelings of him are much like your feelings of this… Sinister."
"Yeah, they gave me a private room. Kenta was my former roommate, years back. Before the invasion…the first invasion." The energy manipulator looks to Addison, his emerald green eyes seeing the flame. "Depends on if they need enough people. It's always a possibility though."
It's different. It's taking a little bit for Addison to get a link on it, but he continues to look. "Most likely, I'll go along because they are my people. Though, I'm staying behind afterwards. And… I think Mom will as well." He mutters, nodding. "How exactly DOES your power work?" He asks, softly.
Brian holds off for a sec. He debates on telling or not. "I have an extra organ in my body. It's round and dense, in the shape of an orb." Brian says, placing his hand below his ribcage, able to feel it. "It's connected with my skin. My skin cells apparently shunt the blasts off and on." The only reason he knows this is because Dr. McCoy did a full body scan and wondered why Brian had a sphere right below where his diaphragm is. "I collect ultraviolet rays with my skin and instead of causing my melanin to darken, it gets converted in stored in that orb." Quite like a new circulatory system but much stronger and defined than veins and arteries are.
"Intriguing…" Addison says before shaking his head. "I'm sorry if I sounded like a scientist. I just… tend to watch things." Addison offers, lamely. "I'm usually good with teaching people other ways of getting their powers under control. Have you seen Eddie?" He laughs softly, scratching his head, sheepishly. He looks mildly embarassed.
"Eddie? Daisuke's friend?" He asks, though his answer is a half-lie. "No, I guess I haven't, not lately. I've been working around the mansion, helping Dr. McCoy." Though he's really shut himself in his room, tinkering and working on something, only leaving his room to go out and get items needed for his work. Since he's not a student anymore he can't be punished for leaving.
"He wasn't realizing his power. I kept seeing odd movements of it. He's actualized alot more of it. If… if you like and don't mind, I might be able to help some with yours. Not trying to do anything against your will, though. I'm just… I'm intrigued by how powers work." There's a light blush across Addison's face as he says that. "And, honestly. I know I don't know what you've been through, but from what you said, I think I might know more about it than most people here."
Brian looks to Addison. His eyes are filled with unease. He's afraid, of what it's unknown but Brian's not trying to push Addison away, just doesn't know what Addison will see in his head. And yet there's something appealing about him. "You can try." His words come out and his heart beats faster, he didn't have his verbal filter on just then. But he's not one to go back on what he says.
"Alright. But not today." Addison says, with a half a smile. "I need a little more time to observe things. Your… power is very unique." He grins, unable to resist another bit of pink in his cheeks before he waves it off. "Thank you. I'll… leave you to the danger room, for now though. I'm starting to get tired." He says. There's a little more to it than that, but he's not going to reveal things like that. Confusion doesn't suit Addison. Decisiveness does, so he takes that route for the moment.
