Xavier Mansion - Recreation Room

What was once the Parlor has been turned into a Recreation Room for the students. A nice plush carpet meets the light blue walls giving it a homey feel. A pool table at one end, a foos ball table at the other, and entertainment center with video game systems, movies, and of course, cable TV. Big comfy chairs and couches surround a coffee table for comfortable loafing. Long glass windows with a pair of French doors line one side of the room bringing in plenty of light during the day. The main rule in here is to clean up after yourself.

Whether it was the sounds of musical screams that made Kael wonder what was going on, or it was the point that he knows which movie that is and he felt like he needed a break; doesn't really matter which as the aerokinetic peeks into the rec room. "Hmn, good thing it isn't too far in." He walks further into the room and moves to settle down on one of the unoccupied couches.

Robyn looks up and smiles. "Sorry, it was on Teevee and I got hooked. My favourite movie." Which probably isn't a surprise to anyone. "It's on ABC or something so it's got commercials but I love Tim Burton." Says the fanboy on the couch. "If that weird dimension we got sucked to wasn't so….deadly it would have been pretty awesome to just enjoy it."

Kael smirks a bit, "I think they've the DVD here somewhere. Probably behind the Lord of the Rings box set." He shrugs a bit before he looks over at Robyn, the senior looking a bit exhausted; but that seems to be the typical look these days. "I heard about that dimension through the grapevine. What exactly happened there?"

"I have the special edition DVD." Robyn says with a chuckle. "I own every Tim Burton DVD." He says sheepishly. "Even Planet of the Apes." He takes the bag he has and puts it on the floor, making a mental note that he should find Heather later. "Well…we got stuck in another dimension and…it was weird. It was like something out a B-Horror movie, werewolves, ghosts, Renfield. I got turned into a Ghost and started believing I was something I wasn't. Even Xavier's was an Insane Asylum there."

Kael quirks a brow and blinks. "So… it was like you were in an M. Night Shyamalan Marathon of all his horror films put together. … Actually, that probably sounds worse then what you went through." He shifts in his seat before he says, "Really? An asylum? Wow, that's probably what every one of your parents must think from time to time when things like this happen."

Robyn shakes his head with a chuckle. "Nah, not that bad. I mean there was no crazy twist at the end. Ms Frost didn't turn out to be an evil alien that was dead with the real world over a wall." He then raises an eyebrow at Kael. "I guess, I know my Mom isn't always happy with what happens here. She lets me keep going cause I want to be here. My Dad is a bit more relaxed about it but I feel bad worrying them so much."

Kael chuckles. "I dunno. I think Ms. Frost might be something like that on a bad day." He hms a bit, leaning back in the seat as he looks at the TV. "My mother likes that I'm here. I tell her that I'm safe… when the world isn't being threatened. My dad doesn't really seem to care that much." Whether or not they want him home, it's his choice now.

"My Mom worries a lot." Robyn says and he leaves it at that. He doesn't really want to say his Mom is a bit over protective of him at times and is very dotting. "The nice thing is that I'm not that far from home, I grew up in Brooklyn so it's a train ride away. I went home for Thanksgiving which was nice and I got to see Jordan." There's a big grin at that.

Kael smirks. "I visited home over Thanksgiving as well. Their new home looks nice, though most of my stuff was still in boxes. Spent the first day unpacking mostly everything. But it was nice to see them and my family again." There's a bright smile at that before he asks, "How is Jordan doing? Haven't heard much about him."

"He's doing well, he just couldn't take it here anymore. I mean…a lot does happen and I'm kinda proof of that but he never adjusted. Just one thing after another." Robyn says pushing his hair out of his eyes. "I miss seeing him everyday and hanging out but, it's not like he's gone for good and not like phones don't exist." He looks up from the teevee at Kael. "So where is home for you?"

Kael nods a bit. "I can understand that. I'm surprised that I'm still here some of the days. I still jump when we get new kids that just spontaneously explode at the slightly spook." Not that it happens terribly often. He looks up and then clears his throat, putting on the best Southern accent he can muster, "Ah'm the south. Texas, my good sir."

"Actually….I think one of the new kids can spontaneously explode. Shane, she told me she can blow up." Which Robyn took to be exploding. "Ah Texas…aren't there are few other kids here from Texas?" He asks but then he doesn't know much about the South in general. "It must be a shock going from warm to the cold up here after the holidays."

Kael clears his throat, and chuckles. "Yeah, it's kind of a shock. I kinda miss the warm weather. But snow is a good deal more fun." He lets out a soft laugh, "Really? I should go meet her. Wonder which team she's on." He nods a bit before says, "Aye, there's a few. I was surprised when I found out that Texas Twister is in the city."

Robyn takes a second to think about it before answering. "Hellions…and she's got really awesome fashion sense and cool hair." But that's about all he knows about her. "Texas Twister? Who…or what is that? It sounds like a ride that should be on Coney Island. The Cyclone and the Texas Twister, it fits." Robyn is so bad with super heroes.

Kael smirks. "Sounds like she'll fit right in here." Maybe be a fashion consultant for outfits. Then he chuckles, "I never really heard much about him until I ran into him a short while back while in the city. Apparently he's an aerokinetic like myself! And from Texas as the name suggests. He's really cool to hang out with."

"Neat." Robyn says as he watches Lock, Shock and Barrel sing on the television with a childlike grin on his face. "Okay, I need to get Connor and Rashmi and the three of us can do that next Halloween." Random comment. "Jordan's the superhero fan, not me. He knows a lot more about him."

Kael hms a bit before chuckles. "Actually, that'd be fun to watch. Though, who would be who?" He looks over at Robyn with a smirk. The mention that Jordan would know more is heard, but not commented on.

Robyn shrugs. "I don't know, I would assume I would try to get Rashmi as Shock but then they might turn around and try to dress me as her." He says with a laugh not really thinking that would happen. "Though, I should get going before I watch all of this and don't get my homework done. I was gonna try to find Heather but I'll try to find her tomorrow durning one of her non sleeping cycles." He says as he stands up and picks up his bag. "It was cool talkin' to ya Kael."

Kael nods with a smile. "It was nice talkin' to you as well, Robyn. Hope ya can find her." He hops up off of his couch and stretches a bit. "Might as well go try and find Max. Betcha five bucks he's somewhere on the lake ice skating."
