Banned Characters and Concepts
The following characters and concepts are not allowed on Marvel Revolution. We feel they do not fit the theme of our game. Certain characters in the list are allowable for Tiny Plots or other such instances, but they cannot be player run. Please ask if you have any questions.

- Franklin Richards
- Galactic Characters (Silver Surfer, Thanos, Starjammers, ROM, etc…)
- G.I. Joe characters
- Halo Characters
- Holocaust (He never came to our timeline)
- Hyperion
- Inhuman Royalty
- Marvel Animals (i.e. Peter Porker, Pet Avengers)
- Marvel Apes
- Marvel Zombies
- MODOK/MODAM/MODWHATEVER
- Mojo
- Morlun
- Phoenix Force (May be run in TPs or with staff approval, but not in a newly apped character)
- Ripoffs of books, cartoons and anime. (This isn't to say you can't base a character, but if it's obvious…)
- Sentinels (Including Nimrod, Bastion, etc… However, Omega Sentinel IS appable )
- Sentry

Restricted Characters and Concepts
The following characters are restricted and require discussion with the staff before even attempting to apply. Some of them, because they have a unique history here, or because we do not want many characters of these particular types.
- Alternate Dimensional Characters
- Dead Characters (Synch, Skin, Banshee, Magik… due to a TP, the characters CAN be played but they will not be quite the same)
- Half-Angels
- Half-Demons
- Half-Vampires
- Inhuman Non-Royalty
- Namor
- Nick Fury
- Punisher
Interview Characters
The following characters require both staff discussion before applying AND an interview afterwards, in order to be sure the character goes to the right person and will be properly played on our MUCK.
- Charles Xavier
- Hulk
- Jean Grey (Not Phoenix. This Jean is an Alternate Jean)
- Magneto
- Rachel Summers/Grey
- Scarlet Witch
- Thor
- Venom
- Wolverine
Temporarily Restricted Character Types
The following powers are restricted at the moment because we simply have too many of them active on our grid. This applies strictly to Original Characters. Feature Characters will always be accepted as canon at the time of cutoff. What this means is talk to us before apping anything from this list as we might okay it after hearing what the concept is.
- Alien Characters (This is required to be discussed before applying for a being from another world)
- Dramatically Bad homelives
- Gravity Manipulation
- Great/Amazing Singing Voice
- Hydrokinesis
- Intangibility
- Multi-Lingual (Knowing 3 or more languages)
- Multi-Mentalists (People with multiple mental abilities)
- Mimic type powers/Power Absorption (Copying powers of others)
- Orphans/Kicked Out kids
- Pre-Pubescent Mutations
- Powers Killing Loved Ones
- Radiation Manipulation
- Raised by Gay Parents (aka My Two Dads or My Two Moms)
- Technokinetics/Technopathy - For any tech type powers an interview is required.
- Wealthy Characters/ kids from Wealthy Families (This means multi-millionaires, ect)
Temporarily Banned Character Types
The following powers are currently banned and will not be accepted in an application at this time. We simply have too many active on the grid. This applies strictly to Original Characters. FCs with these powers will be accepted as usual.
- Blind Characters
- Empathy/Emotion Control
- Furry Types (Either animal shapeshifters or fully animal forms. Standard shapeshifters are still allowed)
- Pyrokinesis
- Teleportation
Disclaimer: This list is NOT comprehensive. Staff has the right to add characters to the list at any time if we feel that a character should be here, even if we do not think of them until an application has been submitted.
