Xavier Mansion - Robyn and Zack's Room
Robyn's side of the room is cluttered but not messy and has a bit of a creepy feel to it. His bed has black sheets with a Nightmare Before Christmas pillow and comforter. On the wall is a Nightmare Before Christmas poster and a poster showing the art of Edward Gorey. On his end table are a collection of little figures that seem to have a deamonish quality to him. On his desk are more little figures like a tree that instead of leaves has hands and a snake eating someone holding a help me sign. He's got a few art books on his desk along with his regular school books. A cased cello sits in the corner of his side of the room.
Depeche Mode is Robyn's music of choice today as he's getting some of his stuff ready to pack. There's clothes all over his bed as he's trying to decide what to bring and what not to. There's open suitcase on his bed that's only partically filled. It's never easy to decide what to bring and what not to when going on vacation. "I don't know." He mutters to himself looking at one of his t-shirts with a skull and abstract design on it.
Zack ughs, well he's finally out of the infirmary, he didn't want to be iin there, but he healed remarkable fast. Taking a deep breath as he gets his key, and he fumbles with it. Wincing hard again as he works to open it up, "Stupid…fricking…door!" he finally gets it open and lets the door slowly slide open….
Robyn hears Zack at the other side of the door and goes over to open it but he's got it open before he gets there. "Hey Zack! I'm glad your back." Robyn says honestly as he didn't like knowing his roommate was with that psycho, Sinister. "You're finally out of the medbay?"
Zack is looking more then a little tired, "ya, they let me go since I gave em such a hard time" he shakes his head, "But I'm glad that I'm outta a basment, any damn basment." the large teen slides over towards his bed, and he tries to settle down on it, "Ah hell…" ya he seems a bit drawn out.
"Yeah, they let me go earlier than I should have been after I got injured in the attack but the medbay was just so crowded that after the two surgeries it was jsut 'take it easy." Robyn says as he goes to continue to pack. "So what happened? Actually, you don't have to answer, I bet everyone is asking you that." He gives Zack a curious glance at the 'ah hell'.
Zack flops onto his back, "What happened? he left me in the cell, is what happenend, think he just didn't care if I straved to death or not." he looks up at the ceiling, "So my savior was some guy wanting to rip off all of his crap. I guess that's lucky"
Robyn winces as Zack says that and moves some of his clothes around so that he can sit down on his bed. "Sorry that noone came to get you sooner, I think it's just a lot of the X-Men have been injured and are recovering. Also I really don't think Sinister really cares about anyone. He's….I've never met the guy but from what I know, I dispise the asshole."
Zack pff, "he is an asshole, stupid piece of crap, sholda just ripped him apart" shaking his head as he lays on his bed, "I dunno about staying here, it seems since I came here a lotta crap has happened to the students. I mean…" he looks at you, "Are you packing to go somewhere?"
"You and me both Zack, and James too." Robyn says forgetting that Zack has such a strong hate for the Hyena. "I know, sometimes I just want to go home and get away from here, nothing stays simple or sane for long but then..I know I'd miss my friends and I know I need psychic energy from others to function but…I don't know. It's not like with you, or Jade or James or even Jordan now, where it's harder to look normal out there." Then at the last question Robyn nods. "Yeah, I'm going with Jordan to visit his family, we….need to get away from here for a bit."
Zack nods, "Ya getting away, like I said, it's been prety crazy, even normal high school might be better now, I never got kidnapped and shoved in a cell at my regular high school" he keeps staring at the ceiling, "All right so…you guys knew I was missing, but what, they attacked here? I bet that's where they all went…they just upped and left one day…" he works his jaw a little, "Any idea who's left in the school"
"Noone's left…yet." Robyn says. "But Mr. Summers and Dr. McCoy were both injured really badly. Jono, he's still recovering from the head stuff that Sinister did to him. And yeah…this is the only school where you will get kidnapped cause of what you are." Robyn says with a sigh. "But yeah, Skyler, Jordan, Daisuke and Brian all attacked here. It was really bad. Chloe lost her hand."
Zack nods a small bit, "They were all in the cells, various cells I guess, people got let go, I don't know what…" he sighs again, "Ya. So that's gonna be a choice, stay here or take my chances back home huh…"
"As much as I complain and I want to go home, I don't think I'm gonna. Not until I learn to get things under control." Robyn says as he still has a lot to learn to get his powers under control. He's too self relient with his pyschic vampirisim. "At least you're like me Zack and can go visit your parents easily? I just tell them I miss them, which is true, and wanna come home for the weekend. I just don't mention that what goes on here in fear of scaring my Mom."
Zack nods, "Yes my mom is down in the city still with my brothers and sisters, it's not bad." he shakes his head a small bit, "Mabey I should go see them, I dunno. Is the school still on lockdown?" he asks, "Oh, I hope they repaired the garden…always liked that place"
"No, school's been off Lockdown for a bit, and they've been doing a lot of repairs. The garden, the lawn, the library…" Robyn says trailing off though most of it has been fixed by now. "If you like the garden you should check out the attic above the Observation Deck sometime. It's really neat up there." Robyn says lying back over his clothes. "It might be nice to see your family for a bit, just…take a break from here."
Zack nods his head, "Well for now I really just wanted to rela and eat…damn, I honestly didn't think starving was like that, but it SUCKS dude…really does. Least I had a little water otherwise I might notta made it at all." he runs his hand through his hair. "I dunno, mabey just walk around the school, the ibrary…hey, know anyone that gives haircuts here? Mabey I should try somthing different"
"Mr. Parker-Mayfair, he's a stylist. He actually owns his own salon, and he gives hair cuts to the students who wants them." Robyn hasn't gotten one in a while and probably should but then it did take him a while to regrow his hair after he went bald. "Yeah, I know it sucks Zack, I was kidnapped once and we were barely kept alive. Just enough so they could use us for our DNA for that MGH drug."
Zack nods, "That sounds like sinister, what it was somone different? Damn…" he saheks his head a small bit, "This sucks…a lot…" hefinally sits up, and rubs his nose, looking at you, "So where do your parents life then…Mr. Parker-Mayfair, I'll go look him up, does he have a salon here or in the city? Mabey a city trip would be good."
"It was someone different, it was this MGH ring, Mutant Growth Hormone. It's a drug that people take to gain powers temporarily. They need mutants to make it though." Robyn says as he stands up to pack a bit more. "My parents live in Brooklyn, Williamsburg. And Mr. Parker-Mayfair's salon…I don't know where it is." Robyn admits as he smiles at Zack. "I'm really sorry you had to go through that Zack."
Zack nods his head, "All right, no problem…sounds good, Brooklyn's always nice" he offers a thumbs up, "well I heard a lotta you guys had some roughness too here." he sits up and thinks about what to talk about next.
"Stuff like this seems to hit everyone hard, I mean, it's hard not knowing what your friends are going through and then seeing them attack you and their friends and just changed….it's really hard." Robyn says believing those that were captured did have it worse though. "I mean, Jordan stabbed me and fought me when he was under Sinister's control..it was like..you were waiting to see what the next worse thing was."
Zack nods, "Ya man, that's twice this year already, amazing you guys are still together after that sorta thing, even once might be enough to break a relationship over its knee ya know. Cant' imagine…" helooks back, "But you're ok man, you're a good guy"
"You can just leave someone cause of the stress in relationship, also…I don't want to sound selfish but I think it'd be more painful to go through that and /then/ break up." Robyn says as he does care about Jordan a lot. "Rashmi and Lucas are still together after all their troubles." He doesn't mention the part about Lucas hitting Rashmi though. "Sometimes, it's that closness that's nice after you go through hell."
Zack nods his head a little again, just sorta rubbing his hands, "I don't think I'll find osmeone like that any time soon really. I mean, kinda akward still" he raises one brow, "But, at least I won't find anyone bigger then me." he tries to grin. "So he's met your parents and what not?"
Robyn nods and smiles. "Yeah Jordan's met my parents. They like him. And as for finding someone…I wasn't looking when I found Jordan. I wasn't even out yet. We just started here the same time, got to know eachother and just…he helped me adjust to things here and I don't know. Over time I just fell for him. And we're a bunch of teenage mutants learning how to control our powers, who isn't awkward."
Zack nods, "Ya that's true, you figure being a teenager is fricking hard enough, then add in an x gene, and who knows what's groiwng where…and it's a miracle there'll be more mutants" he laughs again, feeling a little better now after chatting.
Robyn laughs and shrugs. "Well we're the next step in evolution right? Doesn't that mean eventually everyone will have super powers?" He sure as hell hopes not cause that would be scary. "But the main reason I really don't want leave here is the people. I really like the friends I've made here."
Zack nods a small bit, "Ya, really, I guess being out in the real world might as well put a target on your back too "not normal" and everything like that" he sighs somoe, "Ya staying here probably would be best…I guess. Have classes restarted again?"
Robyn nods and looks over at his desk with a sigh. "They never really stopped but I missed a week of classes and am struggling to catch up and I'm gonna miss a week more next week but…right now, the trip to Florida is just too tempting and I had to take it. It was like the sooner the better. Though I'm really nervous, I've never met Jordan's family."
Zack nods, "Oh really? damn, that means I'm really way behind" he shakes his head, "Damn damn…" he almost pouts, and that's kinda cute. "Oh! So you never met Jordan's folks? Think they're cool?"
"His family lives in Florida, I've never really left New York. My parents never had the money to travel much. Vacation was upstate New York." Robyn says as his parents aren't poor but they don't exactly have extra money lying about. "And I'm sure you can get extra help or something to catch up. And as for Jordan's parents? I know they're Scientists?"
Zack nods, "Ya I know that, usually with that many kids my mother never had any time for vacation either ya know?" he grins a little again, "Oh? What do they…science ya know?"
"Marine Biology. I don't really know much about it." Robyn says as he decides he's packed enough for now and starts putting the clothes he's decided not to bring away. "I'm an only child, my parents adopted me. Not that it's bad or anything cause my Mom and Dad are great. They are my parents to me."
Zack nods his head, "That's good, that's cool…" he says and watchs you finish packing, "Ah I guess I should let you go? You know come to think of it I'm not sure if I've ever met Jordan, but, you're good! Go have fun'
