Xavier Mansion - Ramsey Dormitories Lobby

The lobby of Ramsey Dormitories has two elevators at one end of the wall along with the entrance to a cafeteria. On the wall are three pictures that say 'In memory of'. One is of Douglas Ramsey, another of John Proudstar and the last one is of Jean Grey. There are several couches and tables down here for students to relax. Large windows in the front and sides allow for a lot of light in the room.

Thanksgiving is a Yank holiday, but that doesn't mean that the imported mutants living at the school aren't going to take advantage of it. Megan is one of the students still at the mansion over the break and she has, apparently, been spending the day in town and is just now getting back to school with a shopping bag in hand. The Welsh born teenager flits through the doors, her feet not touching the ground, moving at a slow drift as she digs through the paper bag for the candy she'd bought while at the mall. She's wearing a pair of jeans, new looking flats, and a jacket that's been modified to allow her wings freedom, "Ah! There we are." And the bag of gumdrops is produced triumphantly!

Robin is sitting on one of the couches and reading out of a textbook, while her puppet seems to just sit next to her with a bored posture. Not much interesting going on here! The rationale for choosing this spot, though, was so that she would at least have an opportunity to socialize with some of the other students. As Megan comes through the door, the girl and her puppet both sit up with some interest. Robin adjusts her glasses and then rubs lightly underneath the painted lens before she waves at winged teen.

Distracted by gooey, sugary goodness, Megan doesn't notice either the other girl or her puppet at first. Instead, the bag is opened and the first of the candies are popped into her mouth and chewed slowly as she makes her way toward the elevators leading upstairs. Movement in the form of a wave aimed in her direction has her looking over in the direction of Robin and puppet, flashing a bright smile and stopping for a moment to dip down towards the floor by a couple of inches. After a moment, she drops down the rest of the way to land daintily on her feet and holds out the bag of candy, "Nos da." Beat, "Gumdrop?" She has quite the noticable Welsh accent.

"Oh, thank you!" says Robin, reaching to take the Gumdrop, smiling happily at being offered the candy. She looks at the bag for a moment and then says, "Have you been out shopping? I thought about going shopping, but I decided to stay here." For the most part, her voice is pretty androgynous, and if one's eyes were closed, it would be difficult to pinpoint her gender. In fact, especially given her scrawny frame and soft-yet-strong facial features, she is simply androgynous.

"Aye! The shops were busy, but t'wasn't too horrible." Megan hefts the bag slightly, "I got a really pretty blouse that I think I can alter fairly easily to fit." She flutters her wings slightly in demonstration of just what she has to alter her clothing for. She beams at the thanks and nods, "It's more than I should eat on my own. Have as many as you like." She pauses for a moment, crinkling her nose slightly, "I just wish I could find something I didn't have t'sew myself. I'm always afraid I'm gonna mess something up."

Megan positively beams at the mention of her wings and flops down to sit on the floor nearby, nodding in agreement, "Tis one of the greatest things ever! I wouldn't trade being able to fly for anything." Mention of the puppet has her turning her attenton on the being, her expression curious, "Without wings? How does she fly without wings?" Her voice is mildly confused at that and she quickly turns her attention back on the scrawny girl, "Well, I've almost always got some kind of candy in my room. Ye're welcome to have some anytime ye like." A generous offer from an, apparently, unselfish girl.

Robin stands up to give a demonstration of flight without wings. She raises her hands above her head and her expression becomes deadened, her single eye seeming unfocused on anything. The puppet stands up as well now, and then floats slightly above the ground. Robin speaks, but her tone remains level, "See? She is able to fly a little bit, but I'm not good at it yet. But I'll get better." She closes her eyes and then opens them again, her expression livened and her control released. "Well, thanks! I don't usually eat much candy, but I've been trying to eat a lot of healthy but high energy foods lately. I figure eventually my body'll fatten up a little!"

"Wow! That's immence!" Indeed, Megan seems suitably impressed by Blank's flight, "I like my wings, though. They're pretty, I think." She crinkles her nose slightly and shrugs one shoulder, "They can be a bugger to match with anything, though." You try having rainbow colored wings. It's hard to get clothing that doesn't clash sometimes. She nods, "Oh, anytime. Good foods are nice and all, but sometimes ye just need some sweets to end the day."

Nodding, Robin agrees, "Yes, your wings are very pretty! I kind've wish I had a prettier mutation." At that, she stops and then seems reflective for a few moments, looking over towards Blank. "Not that I've got anything against what I've got, of course!" She tilts her head slightly and then says, "Oh, by the way, I'm Robin Keen. I'm not sure if we've ever been formally introduced."

"I think it's neat that ye can do stuff with her!" Megan gestures at the puppet again, "Is she alive, or just a projection, or what?" She's a curious butterfly-girl, isn't she? "I think it'd be cool to be able to be in two places at once." She offers another bright smile at the introduction, "It's a pleasure, Robin. I'm Megan Gwynn." She giggles softly, "And no, I don't think we've ever been properly introduced before."

"Well, that's a relief! I'm always worried someone'll tell me that we have been introduced before, and that'd be pretty embarrassing," confesses Robin, before smiling at her consideration of the questions that are asked of her. "Well, Blank's kind've just an extension of my mind. I can kind of sense things that she senses, which is great, cause she actually gives me some depth perception!"

Megan nods, "That's pretty cool! I think it would be neat to be able to know what's going on in the next room." Insatable curiosity for this girl. She reaches up to tuck a lock of pink hair behind one ear and offers the bag of candies again, "So what are ye reading, anyway? I've got an English assignment I still need to finish up before Monday, but I just couldn't sit still long enough to think about it this afternoon." And she doesn't seem the least bit repentant about that.

"Oh, I guess it's cool being able to be in two rooms at once, but usually one of us is the dominant consciousness, and only the dominant really gets what's going on really well," explains Robin, shrugging. She bites her bottom lip lightly and then notes, "I'm just reading some history stuff. I have to catch up a lot since the whole kerfuffle in the other world."

"Oh…" Megan shrugs, "Well, it's still cool, anyway." She winces faintly and nods at the mention of Robin being one of the missing students, "Well, I'm glad all of ye are back. It was weird around here with half of the school gone." And she doesn't, apparently, even think about how bad it must have been for those that were missing and didn't have their own beds or access to the school's kitchens.

Robin nods her head at that and notes, "Yeah, I imagine it was kind've empty. I'm glad to be back and able to sleep in a real bed. Actually, speaking of a real bed…" She glances up the stairs and notes, "I maybe should be going right away."

Megan nods and crinkles her nose, "Yeah. I came expecting everything to be hopping, and there wasn't hardly anyone here." She blinks a couple of times at the mention of bed and nods, "Yeah, I should go put this away and get to work on that assignment." Not that she sounds all that happy with the idea of homework, but it's best not to get behind in classes, anyway. She scrambles to her feet, using her wings for balance to keep from falling back on her head as she stands, and offers a hand to the other girl, "It was nice to meet you, Robin. I'll see you around sometime, aye?"
