Xavier Mansion - Chloe and Heather's Room

Slightly bigger than the old room, the new rooms fit two students comfortably. Each room has off white walls with a dark brown carpet. There is one window in the middle of the wall that looks out over the grounds. Each room has two beds, two dressers, two desks and two closets, one for each student.

On Heather's side, clothes are strewn about on the floor. Her 'decorations' are just cluttered up on the top of her dresser, various glass and metal figurines bearing no resemblance to one another. One might wonder if she just collects things that don't match any other thing that she already owns. Her desk is cluttered with various scrawls of poetry and journaling. She seems to have no qualms about others reading her personal thoughts, though, since they are open for everyone to read.

Sometimes when you're a cyborg mutant Mondays can be hard. Especially when you've done all your homework despite leaving it until the last minute and all your out of school activities are booked for later in the week. So how does a girl like Chloe cope? Ultra mega handstands. Which might just about explain why she's been upside down for the last half an hour, practically an eternity when you live at six times normal speed. "Why does nothing fun happen here?"

Tossing one of her worn journals onto the floor and peering over the ledge of the bed, Heather says, "Because it's incredibly boring. Lately, I have been studying romantic interactions between students, but it happens so slowly." She tilts her head slightly and looks over towards Chloe. "It's fortunate that you have a strong heartbeat, or else your brain would probably have exploded by now."

Chloe sticks her tongue out. "I'd faint and fall over /long/ before anything exploded," she points out, then with a sigh she adds. "And you've been doing what…? How many people are going to need apology cards writing this time? Oh and before you even consider it lurking in the bushes to spy on people on dates is going to get you in trouble. The school has cameras to catch that sort of thing and people will get pretty upset."

"I don't /hide/ in the bushes, I fall asleep in them. Which isn't my fault, I just get tired sometimes," says Heather, sighing and scooting forward on her bed. "I have no idea how you can sleep at night. But you know, there is so much interpersonal drama related to romance around here. Theo's attention to pretty much anyone who will leave it unrequited, Hosea and Sophie, Mason and who-knows, Robyn and Jordan and so on. Some people seem to think Connor and I are a romantic pairing, but it's not like that."

Chloe almost falls over when Theo gets listed. "Hey! I think I've kinda managed to stop Theo being interested in me. At least that's the impression I got the last time we spoke," she declares. "So you can take me off your voyeur list. Plus it's entirely expected that people think you and Connor have a thing going on. I'd bet a weeks worth of cake that neither of you have taken someone out on a date, even a not date, since coming to school. Right? There is also /totally/ the mystery factor going on. People don't get either of you and that means they're more likely to talk about it." She grins. "Mason doesn't count 'coz he's basically a man-ho and you're talking romance. I think he'd hit on the furniture if you put a little lipstick on it."

"Agreed. I do not even think it would have to be particularly attractive furniture. But he was telling me about some disabled girl who he thinks is special, but apparently it's not Sophie. Well!" says Heather, shaking her head at that. "As for Connor and I, no, neither one of us has done that that I know of, though I have heard rumours of a spark between him and a boy, but I have not explored further. I don't think I will. As for Theo… when was the last time you spoke to him?"

"Uhm…. Speak as in one on one chatting?" Chloe wonders, shifting her weight from one hand to the other. "Just shy of three weeks. If you mean talking during class or squad stuff then maybe a day or two. Both in real world durations." She waves her real hand in an upside down what can you do gesture. "There's nothing wrong with Connor being bi. Just think of it as a good reason to try the poly thing out. More boyfriends means you can split your attention more ways and be less bored overall."

"Theo came to me to ask for advice, but I cannot tell you what about at his insistence. I assume, though, that you can use deductive reasoning," says Heather, frowning slightly at that, "And I think that whole situation was awhile back. I don't know much about it. I don't know if its relevant. And the poly thing? I don't know much about this poly thing, either."

"I'm suggesting you could try being a polygamist doofus," Chloe explains with a roll of her eyes, resuming the two handed handstand pose. "I spoke to him about my idea of visiting South America on foot, touring the world at fastworld pace. That sort of thing. He seemed pretty put off by the notion. I guess it hit him just how far apart our world is from thiers."

"A polygamist! I don't even know if I'm ready to be a unigamist," says Heather, rolling her eyes in return, "I think touring would be interesting for you. I'm not sure if they'd be able to support my particular needs in those places, though." She shrugs and says, "We should probably make out at some point before you go. I need to set a baseline for those sorts of things."

Chloe pouts. "You'll have to wine and dine me a little if you wanna make out," she assures. "And I think the alternate option is monogamist, not unigamist? As for it they'd be able to support your needs… By then you'll probably be able to make the world support your needs, not just hope it can handle them for you. I mean it's a long way off yet. I need to be old enough to legally travel by myself and until the law takes into account fast world time progression I'll have to endure waiting for normal time to catch up with me."

"Well, I endure fine in pretty much any environment that I might be dropped in, but I'm never sure what I am and what I am not allowed to kill with an axe," explains Heather, leaning back against the wall. "I'm not sure if you understand what the nature of the World of Illusions was, but I am capable of self-support. Anyways, if it's required, where would you like to wine and dine? I know that you don't approve of my intuitions."

"I guess I understand as well as anyone who didn't actually live through it," Chloe decides, chewing her lip. "Wine and dine… Some kind of sleepover where a bunch of us get together, talk about boys and ideally sneak in some pink champagne stuff? That'd be the ideal situation. But if we do it you are /so/ not telling any guys you kiss how they rate relative to me. It'd be weird for them hearing it and even worse if I actually knew them."

"I have a hard time conceiving that anyone else hasn't been in the World of Illusions, honestly. To have an alternate childhood from that seems foreign to me," replies Heather, shrugging, "And I will only tell people who I kiss how they peform compared to baseline. I will not mention you by name. I do not expect it to come up often, anyways." She crosses her arms and says, "And a bunch of us? It seems you have this polygamist thing down."

Chloe rolls to the ground, then springs back to her feet. "Sometimes I think you misunderstand things just to make fun of me!" she proclaims solemnly. "A bunch of us being some friends. Hanging out and stuff." She waves her finger sternly. "Watch some movies with slumber parties in. Consider it research. As for non illusionary childhoods… why not consider that /everyone/ had one but the 'script' was less unpredictable for the most part and tended to stick to a limited number of settings."

"Well, I don't have very many friends, but I suppose we will see how that goes," says Heather, a bit skeptically. "But yes, I suppose I actually just assume that nobody has had a childhood at all until told otherwise. It's much easier that way. Anyways, it doesn't seem like this plan you're suggesting is wining and dining at all. It sounds more complicated."

"Well if you /really/ want we could just have an all girls kissing tutorial. Get every girl in school to make out with each other and try keep it a secret from the boys until afterwards?" Chloe suggests with an impish grin. "I can see it going down especially well. I mean from what I've heard about them can you actually imagine Sophie or Shane agreeing to that sort of thing? Might be fun to ask though, from a nice safe distance."

"Well, I want to set you as a baseline because it would be a relatively normal speedshift between us. I wouldn't tear anyone's lips off or anything," explains Heather, tilting her head back and forth, "But I suppose it would be interesting to see some reactions of asking such things. My intention is not to get a rise out of anyone, though."

Chloe shrugs. "I doubt some people will see the logic behind asking," she admits. "Or the funny side. Plus I doubt you'll tear anyones lips off unless you're doing things really badly or maybe if you like a little nibbling. In which case yeah you might literally end up chewing face with someone." She tilts her head. "There would have to be a few ground rules though. Like no weird cooking before hand and all that kind of stuff, the last thing you want when kissing someone is for them to taste vile."

"Given that other people eat the same ensemble of foods in different orders, and it all ends up in the same place, I think that should be a non-issue, but I will eat a mint," says Heather, rolling her eyes. "Besides, it now sounds like you are trying to arrange some kind of smooch buffet. I would prefer to smooch only you. You're special." She crosses her arms and looks down to the journal she threw to the floor.

"Flattery will get you everywhere," Chloe teases, springing onto her bed. "Well not quite everywhere, but you know what I mean. As for the place food ends up if you think kissing normally involves there you've been horribly misinformed! Don't get me wrong if you're into that sort of thing then by all means. Just don't think I'm going to be helping out with any literal ass kissing."

"That's not what I mean. I mean odours from the mouth. Sometimes, I think you intentionally misunderstand me to make fun," says Heather, shaking her head at Chloe. "I am talking about mouth to mouth only." She taps on her lips a couple of times.

Chloe winks. "Why of course! Anyway I'll schedule you in some time," she promises. "Just let me know if you're planning any other smooching in the near future and need me to make time sooner rather than later. I think maybe I should take a nap, let the blood even out again before I get a horrible headache."

"I do not forsee any kissing in my near future otherwise, but thank you for helping me out with this," says Heather, nodding once at that, before reaching back to the ground to pick her journal back up so that she can get back to writing.

"Wake me up if the school starts 'sploding," Chloe asks sleepily, curling up on top of her bed for a quick power nap. "Oh and try not to journal anything about us kissing. Not unless you're going to keep it secure for a change. But anyway…. goodnight!"
