Xavier Mansion - Recreation Room

What was once the Parlor has been turned into a Recreation Room for the students. A nice plush carpet meets the light blue walls giving it a homey feel. A pool table at one end, a foos ball table at the other, and entertainment center with video game systems, movies, and of course, cable TV. Big comfy chairs and couches surround a coffee table for comfortable loafing. Long glass windows with a pair of French doors line one side of the room bringing in plenty of light during the day. The main rule in here is to clean up after yourself.

It's Sunday evening and Mikhail is in the rec room, he's sitting on one of the couches with his eyes closed, focusing, he's dressed in dark blue jeans, black sneakers, a white long sleeve shirt with two blue stripes halfway down the upper arm and 42 on the chest and back, the fanged mutant looks almost normal in this docile state.

Sunday evening finds Star actually at the mansion for the first time since she arrived. That may have more to do with the fact that she's been confined to grounds for a week and had the snot scared out of her yesterday than anything else, but it's still an unusual sight for the elder of the Rosen twins. She makes her way into the rec room, a bowl of popcorn in hand, and walks over to settle down on a chair. She doesn't notice the other mutant for a moment, curling up with her legs half under her and the bowl cradled in the crook of one arm. She seems… content… for the moment; her eyes hazel-green. She glances over at her fellow student and offers a small smile, "Popcorn?" It's organic seasoned with sea salt.

Mikhail doesn't open his eyes when Star arrives, he knew she was coming anyway, "No thanks Star, i don't like sea salt", he continues to visualize the mansion and match up the sounds and smells with each location.

Star shrugs when her offer of a shared snack is turned down and munches on a couple of pieces of popcorn. She looks over at the other teenager and frowns faintly, "How did you know it was me?" She's only ever met the fanged boy once before, and only vaguely remembers him. Her confusion filters into the air, "I don't think I've met you yet…" Maybe? She shifts her position slightly, her expression turning slightly sullen, "I'll have plenty of time to get to know everyone now, though, I'm sure…" After Mr Starsmore confined her to the grounds for a week yesterday…

"You smell of girl and pheromones, and you stomp your feet when you walk", Mikhail smiles showing his fangs, "You have met me, you were rude, also afraid and worried, i just look more normal today, you find looks to be important", he recognises her sullen tone at being grounded, he's used it before.

Star huffs at being told that she stomps when she walks, "I do not stomp." Or so she thinks, anyway. She blinks a couple of times at the news that she has, in fact, met him before and frowns at the 'normal' comment, "Normal?" And then she remembers her meeting with the bloody youth and turns a little green, "Oh." She swallows, "Yeah. I forgot." She shakes her head at the thought of her finding looks important, "No, I just don't like blood." And she's seen an awful lot of it in the last week. She's seen a lot of it in just the last four days! She swallows once more and sets the popcorn aside, "So what are you doing right now, anyway?"

Mikhail shakes his head, "You do stomp, you just can't hear it over your stomping", he's confused now, "But you are filled with blood, i can feel it, i can hear your heart beat, pushing the blood round your body", he catches a scent that makes him growl, "I'm listening to the sounds and am registering the scents to each room of the mansion".

Star folds her arms over her chest and shakes her head, but lets the issue of her stomping drop for the moment. She shakes her head and shudders at his insistence that she's filled with blood, "I mean I don't like the sight of it. It makes me feel like I'm going to pass out or throw up or something." As a matter of fact, she did pass out because of it Saturday morning. The growl makes her frown, mild panic appearing, "What was that for?" She's been jumpy ever since she was grabbed. Just ask her roommate. As far as what he's doing, that just gets a little shake of her head in wonder and she sighs, "Yeah, I've been told that I'm like the rest of you, but I don't know… I don't seem to have any powers like the rest of you. Not like Cloud." Which really rankles her since they're twins and she feels that she should be able to do anything that he can do.

Mikhail can't see Star getting along too well here if she has such a bad reaction to blood, "I growled cos i caught the scent of someone i REALLY don't like", he listens to Star say she doesn't think she's really a mutant, he's seen Cloud's powers before, and they're not pheromone based like his sisters, "From what I've noticed, you can sense and manipulate emotions though pheromones, it's…, interesting", the word manipulate sounds as if it was said in another persons voice.

Star frowns at the mention of someone the boy 'really doesn't like', giving him a wary look as though expecting him to go psycho and chase down this mystery person, "Oh? Who?" Someone she might want to avoid? When he says what he thinks her powers might be she frowns and shakes her head, "No, I don't-" She cuts herself off with a small laugh and a rueful expression, sheepishness lingering around her, "Well… I guess I do kind of manipulate people sometimes, but I don't do anything to anyone's emotions." She shakes her head again, "I mean, I sometimes know how the people around me are feeling, but I've always known that. I'm, like, good at reading body language, or something." She shrugs, "And, yeah, sometimes my moods are contagious, but that doesn't mean that I can just make everyone else feel the same thing I am." Does it?

"Lucas is an asshole", thats all Mikhail will say on the subject of the person he doesn't like, when Star protests about her powers AGAIN, within a second his face-to-face with her, "Tell me what i'm feeling".

Star nods at the mention of the name, though Lucas is not someone she's met as of yet. It's possible that will change in the coming week, but she hasn't met him yet. Then he's demanding she tell him what he's feeling and she shrugs, "I don't know…" She frowns for a moment and studies him, unconsciously taking a deep breath before she lets it out in a rush accompanied by another shrug, "You look irritated." She frowns faintly, "And maybe there's a little worry and… fear?" She pauses again and shakes her head one more time, "Don't see what you have to be afraid of, though…"
Mikhail and Star are sitting together talking on a Sunday evening. A bowl of nearly untouched popcorn near Star, but she's not touching it. They're in a discussion about powers and whether or not Star has any.

Hoping for a break, Laura decides to get back into the school from the Rec Room, this time. Figuring she gave Star enough of a fright the night before, she'd kept the window locked. Quietly, she tests the handle, and when she finds it unlocked she grins slightly in satisfaction. Careful to use her right hand, as her left is darkened in blood - wearing black from head to toe, cargo pants with pockets down the sides, a belt, long sleeved black knit top and her hair piled up into a messy bun on the top of her head - and not wanting to leave a trail behind her, she quietly opens the door. Distracted as she was, she hadn't noticed the sounds of other talking so close, or the familiar scent coming from the rec room. As she slips inside, Laura finally notices the two in the rec room. She groan softly under her breath, and closes the door behind her. "Evening." she mutters, swiping at a stray lock of hair, and accidentally smearing a trail of read along her cheek.

"Thats what i mean, i don't have anything to be afraid of, but you do, and it's effecting me, but unlike most people i know i shouldn't be scared, and i can think around it", Mikhail goes to continues the matter when he catches the scent of human blood, he turns to look at the door just before Laura opens it, when she wipes the blood on her face he frowns, "Heya, do you know your hand is covered in human blood?".

Star is lost in the conversation with Mikhail and doesn't notice the door opening or closing behind her new roommate, her eyes, instead, focused on her conversation partner, "I still don't see how I have anything to do with you being afraid. It's not like I'm scary in the least." Yes, she's a little dense. Then he's mentioning blood and her eyes widen and automatically shift to the door and the person that just entered, "Oh crap…" Her voice is low, though still audible to those with enhanced hearing, and she turns faintly green as she swallows hard at the sight of Laura again with blood on her.

Shit.. Was her though as she quickly wiped at her cheek with her right hand, though it only smeared it more over her face. "Uh.. yeah. I cut myself." she replied quickly, not really wanting another lecture about how killing people was wrong and blah blah blah. Rocking back on her heels and ducking her head, avoiding eye contact with both of them. "Didn't realize anyone was up, sorry." She adds quickly, hoping to get out of there without Star completely blowing a gasket… And a the uttered oath, Laura sighs. "It's really nothing. Go about… whatever it was you were doing." Her gaze lifts to look Star squarely. Not really much of liar, because she's never had the need to before, she tries to force a smile onto her face, and fails miserably at that as well. "Think I'll..er.. clean up.."

Mikhail raises an eyebrow, "You're lying, your heartbeat is beating irregularly, whos blood is it?", he doesn't particularly care, but he wants to see what she says, he sits back on the couch and fixes his black eyes on the girl.

Star really couldn't care less about the actual act of killing someone, especially after her little… adventure… Saturday morning. There are some people that really do deserve to be killed. People like the ones that abducted her. People that are now dead. She tries to calm her breathing, but the sight of the other girl with blood on her cheek and hand is a little much for the self proclaimed hater of blood and she's starting to hyperventilate. Fear and disgust roll off of her in waves and she curls up a little tighter in the chair she's claimed as her own little perch, closing her eyes and trying to remember how to breathe.

Laura lets out a slightly exasperated sigh, as she smells the change in Star's scent. "Please… /please/ for the love of.. whatever is up there, stop doing that." she grumbles before fixing Mikhail with a long stare. "There was a slight altercation tonight. It doesn't matter who's blood it is, because it's over with now." Not entirely a lie. It hadn't really been much of a fight, but it was true enough. "I've got to get cleaned up. Got people to interrogate and such." a raw edge to her tone as she mutters this, turning her back on the two as she makes for the door. "I'd appreciate it if you kept this to yourselves." She fixed Star with another long look. Not that she thought the girl was overly observant, but she hoped maybe she'd catch the drift. "Bye." She added, waving her non-bloodied and as she steps through the threshold and out into the lobby.

Mikhail makes a mental note to find Laura later as she makes up an excuse and leaves, she is definatly lying, he sighs and looks to Star, "When it comes to phobias, do you know what flooding is?"

Star swallows hard, trying not to throw up at the thought of another fight and nods mutely when it's requested that they keep the fact that her apparently violent roommate has gone and gotten into another fight and ended another life. Or at least maimed someone, anyway. It takes a couple of minutes for her to get past the fact that Laura really is gone and open her eyes, now violet with fright, to look at the boy when he talks, "Phobias?" Sure she knows what a phobia is, but, "Flooding?" She shakes her head. That one is a new one to her. She's never heard of 'flooding' in relation to phobias before. She shakes her head, cautious now that it's not something that she really wants to hear, "No. What's that?"

Mikhail grins a fanged grin, "Flooding is when you're subjected to a high amount of the subject of your phobia, i think you should try it, wanna give it a shot?", he feels her fear but dismisses it, he's trying to help.

Star shivers at that thought and shakes her head quickly, "No!" She shivers again and swallows hard, "No, thank you. I've already seen enough blood to last me a lifetime." Beat, "I've just got a really weak stomach." And she saw some guy get his brains blown all over a wall yesterday morning. That's more than enough for her. She grimaces, "I've been assigned to some 'team' that I'm supposed to be training with… I just hope that 'training' doesn't mean having to deal with a lot of gore. I think I'd just go ahead and throw up, or something if it does." Or maybe pass out again?

Mikhail shrugs, "Suit yourself, and yes you will see more blood in your time here", he sits back on the couch and closes his eyes again, begining to focus on his surroundings again.

Star shudders once more and stands, looking at the bowl of popcorn in disgust for a moment before she grabs it, "Well, maybe I just won't stay here…" Not it if means that there's going to be more violence with her stuck in the middle of it. No way, no how. She's not going to turn into someone like either Laura or this boy that seems to be so very enamored with the subject of her least favorite thing in the world. Ew. "I'm going to go take care of some stuff… I need to email someone." Boy is her best friend from back home going to flip when she hears about everything that's happened in the last couple of days!

Mikhail opens his eyes again, "You should remember we are not to speak of what happens here to the outside world, even in e-mails", he doesn't know she's going to tell anyone, but she seems to be the type, "Bye".
