Xavier Mansion - Attic

Every wall is made of glass up to the domed ceiling. Storm has really done her work up here over time and turned it into quite the indoor garden. The room is separated into different parts for the different plants that are in there. There are flowers, vegetable plants, herbs, shrubs, small trees and much more. There are plants that shouldn't even be able to be found in this northern climate but they thrive up here. Anyone wanting to come up here for fresh herbs, fruit or vegetables are welcome to steal from the indoor garden. Depending on the time of year, various different species of flowers and different fruits and vegetables grow. In one area there are a few small fountains and a bench with some fresh dirt on the the ground with trees and plants all around. It seems like a good spot for meditation.

The attic is just one of those places Robyn likes to relax in, it's almost like it's a different world up here. Lying on the ground admits the various plants he works on some homework on his laptop. He's got his math text book on one side of him and a plate of cut up salted cucumbers next to him. For once he's eating something healthy. Instead of listening to music through his headphones Robyn figures since he's the only one up here he'd just play some music over the laptop speakers. Faintly the sounds of a techno/industrial song can be heard with lyrics about a Military Fashion Show.

The clump-clump-clump of heavy boots is heard from the attic stairs, soon followed by the pink-and-neon-blue-steaked head of Xavier's resident grump, predictably capped by large noise-cancelling headphones. When she crests the stairs, however, it would seem today she's dressed… normally. Blue jeans and a shirt bearing the stitched-shut cowl of Cassandra Cain as Batgirl, to be specific. Her eyes flicker about the attic space, and upon noting Robyn her face tightens, briefly, before she tries not to show she's hurrying to sit at one of the benches. Her laptop opened and set on her lap, she dives into whatever she's working on.

The entrance opens casually as Addison flows in. He doesn't bother walking anymore. It's simply too… unnecessary. He just hovers. "Robyn." He states as he enters, offering a bit of a nod before turning to Shane, whom he's only met in passing in the school, so doesn't know her that well yet. He offers her a nod as well.

Robyn stops typing for a bit and moves up to sit in a cross legged position instead of on his stomach. On his shirt is a small monster reading a book while looking terrified due to the creepy looking shadows that seem to be creeping up on him. There's a wave and smile given to Shane before he greats Addison. "Hello Addison, how are you doing?"

Shane glances up as Addison enters, eyes widening briefly at the almost tangible aura of power that radiates from the floating telepath. Turning her gaze back to her laptop, she hunches her shoulders, focusing her attention back on her project and paying little overt attention to the other two and their conversation.

"Mostly Sane." Addison says with perfect composure, as if he actually means that as his answer. "And yourself, Robyn?" He tilts his head, eyes flaming mildly, but not angrily. "Since things have been… quieter of late, hopefully everything is getting better." He offers, sincerely meaning it. However, his own life has been awkward for a while now.

"Pretty good, it kinda sucks with both Rashmi and Connor gone, don't really have either of them to talk to." Robyn says about his too best friends but then he wasn't sure if a trip to Africa was right for him. "And things have been good. I've applied to a ton of art schools and I'm just waiting to hear back from them. Though it is my birthday tomorrow so..I don't know what I'm doing or that."

Shane continues to work on her project, the corners of her mouth pulled down as she works, evidently not fully satisfied with whatever's going on. One hand comes up to swipe her hair away from her face, subtly (for a teenager) adjusting the earphone on the far side of her head from the other two to admit some of the outside world in. Even if she's going to ignore them, it seems, she'd prefer to keep tabs on what's going on, just in case.

"Do you have any plans for tomorrow, then?" Addison asks, tilting his head. "I never bother celebrating my birthday. It's not something important in my home." He says with a bit of a shrug. "Half the time, I don't even remember when it is." He laughs a bit. "That and celebrations simply weren't our speed."

"Well they are our speed over here so maybe you should try celebrating sometime. Stop living in the past of the otherworld and start living in the present of this one." Robyn teases Addison. "No, I don't really have any set plans for tomorrow. Connor and I were going to do something together since he just had his eighteenth birthday and mine is tomorrow but he's over in Africa so..I'll just wait." He says with a non-chalant shrug. He notices Shane shift one of her headphones and gives her a wave again. "Hey Shane."

Shane flushes, closing her eyes as she's caught out almost immediately. "Hey," she replies, hand moving over the touchpad as she returns to her project. The neon-headed girl, apparently, preferring an economic — not to say miserly — style of conversation.

Addison shrugs. "Not quite my speed. And I'm not living in the past. If I was, I wouldn't be here. The Phoenix can literally live in the other timelines." He grins impishly at Robyn. "I could take you there. AFrica, just for a few hours to see them if you like." He offers, not knowing what else he can do to help.

"Nah that's okay. I don't know if Jordan has anything planned and if anything I'll go home to my parents." Robyn says as if it isn't a big deal. He's not that bothered by it. "You're dressed normal today Shane. It's…weird. I kinda miss seeing you in one of your cool outfits."

Shane's mouth tightens, but she lifts a shoulder. "…Didn't feel like dressing up," is her answer, given the final tones of 'there's nothing more to say.'

Addison nods softly. "I can understand that." He considers. "By the way, when do you want to get together today for…" He asks, raising an eyebrow. Robyn's occasional meetings for mental feeding doesn't happen as often as it used to. Possibly due to the phoenix issues.

Robyn shakes his head at Addison. "Sorry, that Phoenix stuff is almost too addicting. It's great but it just makes me want more of it. It's hard to explain. And also I've been doing some training with Ms. Frost so I don't have to rely on feeding off of people." He says with a shrug. He gives a small nod to Shane and then frowns for a second before looking back at his math homework.

*taptaptaptapSMACK* Shane's finger stabs down hard on a key, just as Robyn speaks Emma's name. Drawing in a slow breath, she closes her laptop, standing up and tucking it under her arm. Turning, she nods to Addison, skirting around a row of plants to put vegetation between herself and the other two, heading toward the stairs.

"Somebody has issues with a staff member. But then, many of us aren't her biggest fans." Addison says with a shrug. "Not that it matters." He says before a darker voice intones. "We could crush…." He pauses, reverting. "No, we wouldn't. That would be wrong. Bad Phoenix."

Robyn lets out an audiable sigh as Shane starts to walk off. "Who knows sir, she's pretty stuck up anyway." He says to him with a bit of a frown. "She hasn't thrown me into moving traffic so she's better than other teaches we've had in the past." He then looks at Addison with a weird look and bites his bottom lip. "And that is why I don't feed off of you anymore."

*clump clump clump clump* go Shane's boots down the stairs, and whether or not she heard Robyn's comment, to remain a mystery unless one gleans the truth from her roiling surface thoughts.

"Oh, I understand. That's why my response earlier was MOSTLY sane. Not completely." Addison grins innocently as he shrugs. "Who is she anyway?" He asks.

"Shane, I've never met someone with a bigger chip on their shoulder." Robyn says sounding frustrated. "She seemed really cool at first, I mean she has this awesome fashing sense and really cool hair and she makes her own clothes, and seemed cool. But she's just another stuck up art kid whose too cool for anyone here. It's like noone is good enough for her to waste her time on. I've tried to be nice to her, get to know her, but apparently she's good to waste her time on mutants or something. I wanted to be friends with her but apparently she's just a bitch."

"Everybody forms their own opinions. I just haven't had a chance to get to know her yet." Addison says with a shrug. I'm… overwhelming to most of late." He offers with a shrug. "Interpersonal is not my specialty."

"Good luck." Robyn says with a frown as he checks what his next math problem is. "I try to give everyone a chance but sometimes it's hard. But it's even harder to give someone a change when they won't even let you. I don't know, I'm not gonna let it bother me and linger on it. I've got other things to worry about like this dame pre-cal stuff. Why do I need pre-cal if I'm going to art school."

"Because it can be useful in real life." Addison says simply. "So… study and learn. It may be necessary one day." He offers before he looks up. "I must leave for a bit."

Robyn nods at Addison. "Take care Sir. I'll see you tomorrow for more training in mental defense." He says as he goes back to his math homework, turning up the music on his laptop as he goes to figure out the next problem.
