Xavier Mansion - Attic

Every wall is made of glass up to the domed ceiling. Storm has really done her work up here over time and turned it into quite the indoor garden. The room is separated into different parts for the different plants that are in there. There are flowers, vegetable plants, herbs, shrubs, small trees and much more. There are plants that shouldn't even be able to be found in this northern climate but they thrive up here. Anyone wanting to come up here for fresh herbs, fruit or vegetables are welcome to steal from the indoor garden. Depending on the time of year, various different species of flowers and different fruits and vegetables grow. In one area there are a few small fountains and a bench with some fresh dirt on the ground with trees and plants all around. It seems like a good spot for meditation.

It's not surprise that Robyn doesn't sleep much in his room as he's up here, in the attic, curled up on the floor passed out. There's a pot next to him, something obviously he made as it seems to be sporting holes in it covered with wonder flex so the dirt can stay in and on each side appear to be a dragon and the two seem to be fighting each other. It's filled with dirt and and plant and the dirt is all over the floor and Robin. He's just made the planter and filled and before he could carry the heavy thing downstairs he's seemed to have just fallen asleep.

Traversing the stairs with a box under his arm, James enters the attic. Closing the distance between him and the small boy, the hyena—or rather the creature inside—smiles showing off all of his teeth as it considers the ease at which it could finally have Robyn. Looking over his shoulder at the camera on the wall, James lets out a soft chuckle and flops onto the couch. No…for its purposes one life is not enough. So it will continue to bide its time and pretend to be one of them. With a head tilt, James lets out a soft mental «Rooooobyn…Roooooooobyn» as he waits to see if that's enough to stir the 'friend;' the voice in no way matching the beast that it came from.

The voice is in his mind and Robyn snaps away seeming confused until he sees James there. "Oh James…hey." Hey says as he feels like something is weird, not right, but he can't put his finger on it. "I…I must have been having one of those weird dreams that you don't remember when you wake up cause I have that odd feeling." He says but then there's something odd about James, different. Something he didn't notice before. "There's…something different about you James."

"Is it my amazing figure?" the hyena asks in jest, "If so, it's because of the 15 ice cream bars I've eaten in the last 10 minutes. Want one?" He places the box on the floor and pushes it close with a toe claw, "A modern marvel if there ever was one." He shrugs a little, "Other than that…I dunno. What ever do you mean?" He puts his arms across the back of the couch, and watches Robyn with big, black eyes.

Robyn reaches down and takes an ice cream sandwich and slowly unwraps it.
"Thanks, do different in I sense something different. I've been sensing it a bit from people lately but I've never felt it from you before like…you have a different aura like when I drain from Addison or Jono." That psychic presence and since Robyn's developing that 'predator' sense that he can sense 'food' in the area, he can sense it off of James. "Sorry, so…what's up?" He's still wierded out a bit.

James gaze shifts predatorily ever so slightly as he senses his charade being threatened. But the look turns friendly in a flash and the creature offers a shrug, "You know me too well Robyn. Yah, something is up. Since the park my powers have shifted a little. I'm not sure if it's was the spear or what…but." He leans down from his seat and whispers, "Watch this." Making sure he's out of the camera's sight, he holds out a hand and, in a flash, that ice-cream sandwich that Robyn had started unwrapping is telekinetically yanked back into James' waiting paw. He waggles his eyeridges, "How's that for cool?" He offers to hand it back.

There's a blink of surprise as the ice cream sandwich gets pulled out of his hand. "Okay…when did you…well you just told me but telekinesis? I guess you got something good out of being stabbed. Which speaking of that, everything's been okay?" He asks as he moves to sit on the couch with James if there is room, getting a nice bit of dirt on it. "Man, between that and your other skills I'm glad I'm not on your bad side." He says with a chuckle.

James removes his arm from the back of the couch and moves over as if to offer room. James does his best foolish grin, "Cool, eh? And I dunno what it did…but I haven't gone to the teachers yet. So, keep it quiet for now." After Robyn gets settled, the hyena adds, "I'm fine—other than that. I mean, as well as can be expected? But..that bad side thing is kinda what I wanted to talk to you about."

Robyn nods. "Sure, I'll keep it quiet." And he will to and it probably won't be mentioned again as he'll probably forget about it later. "And what did you want to talk about?" He asks as he settled in and leans back a bit in the couch. "Sorry if it seems like I've holed myself up in the art room all summer, just keeping busy."

James leans against the chair's arm, gaze searching out Robyn, "What are you always doing up there, anyways? Excuse me for being nosey. But, why not spend more time with friends?" To the other boy's question, James adds, "I've been working with Kenta to form a training team. Seemed like fun…but after the other day it seems 'important' now." James goes for the hard sell, focusing on Robyn's need to help his friends, "You can't tell anyone…but Chloe said that she got some crazy news from some future guy or something. She said, in the future I'm evil." The hyena looks around, whispering, "It's kinda spooking me out. And worse yet 'she' believed it. It could be a joke…but I'm not going to tell anyone or they'll lock me up again! Maybe if I make this team happen, I'll stay good and I can avoid that! Will you help me?"

The first question kind of catches Robyn off guard since he thought he kind of explained some things to him a while back but not this exact question. "Well…I just didn't have many friends before here. I always just kinda kept myself busy with sculpting and I still do. I just get an idea for a project and I just go." He says with a shrug as he's a bit of a loner in some ways but he does enjoy the company of friends. "You're evil too? Heather told me the same thing that she was told she'd be evil in the future too. I dunno..she could be right but I can't see you being evil. Misunderstood but not evil." Robyn says with a grin before the final question. "I won't let them lock you up again, you mean too much as a friend James, and sure I can help you stay 'good'. So what's up the with the training team?"

James grins, "Thanks, Robyn. I knew I could count on you." He waves a paw, "We'd be like a junior-X team…but without the bad-guy battles. Instead, we’d help get kids to safety, help the adults with whatever they need…Kinda like Alpha and Paragons already do—but it would be for real and we'd be on call. I already asked Jinx, Connor, and Lucas. And I'm told I should ask Heather as well."

"Wait you want me to be on this team and not just watch out to make sure you don't turn out evil?" Robyn just doesn't really think that he's the type to be picked for a team like that. His powers aren't all that impressive to him. "Why me, my powers aren't that…special. I mean I'm surprised and flattered and you know I'd agree. And Heather, she's weird but in a good way. Once you get to know her she's nice enough."

"Because you're a good friend, Robyn. And I trust you. You don't need 'special' powers to do good. You just needs friends that believe in you," James says with a slight smile on his lips. Yep…hard sell. "I believe in you. So do the others. And together, we can make a difference." James leans forward and offers a pat on Robyn's shoulder, "So that's a yes then?"

Robyn looks at James for a bit unsure if he bought what he said or not but there is a smile on his face. "That's a bit deep for you but…thanks James. And of course it's a yes. I'd help you out with anything you want and this is a bit easier. I just..it's weird we made that promise in regards to a mutant cure and now you're plotting a team, a super hero team. And asking me to be on it with you it just seems like…the opposite." And it amuses him.

The hyena offers another flourish with his paw, "What can I say…when you scratch the surface you may find the unexpected just below." But, to help keep the faith, James adds, "'Sides, you know me. In a week I'll be glueing kids to the bottom of the pool again and will have moved onto something bigger. But hey, who knows. Today the idea 'feels' right."

"Well I do think it's a good idea, so what will this new team entail besides being Jr. X-Force? Are we gonna be basically what you are now?" Robyn asks since he's not sure what his new responsibilities will be with this. "And I have one question….how do you get the glue to stick in the water?"

James stands and stretches, "I dunno…that will be, in part, up to the teachers. But, I don't expect that Scott will send us out to fight Magneto the next time he flies off the handle." He starts walking towards the exit, leaving Robyn with th last few ice cream bars, "We still need approval…but if that's a go, then everything else will fall into place. My concern was just making sure I had enough bodies…friends…to make my plan work." James give Robyn a smile at the final question, "Forge has glue that you can use on Submarine hulls. It's scary good."

Robyn can't help but laugh at the answer. "Okay, I can't tell if you scare me or not, well we both know it's a no. Thanks again James. I'll see ya later!" He says as he looks down at the box of ice cream bars and then looks at his pot and sighs. "Well how the hell am I gonna get both these down stairs." He mutters as he grabs the box to bring downstairs and leave in the kitchen, after that he'll bring his present for Connor to the dorm room.
