Xavier Mansion - Daisuke and Jared's Room
The room is fairly neat with both beds usually made. Jared's side of the room is practically spotless and everything has it's place though it doesn't look like he has much in regards of dcor except for a yoga mat by his bed and a Wonder Man poster on the wall. Daisuke's side is a bit more cluttered but still neat as he has a few drawing pads piled up on his desk along with his art supplies along with a few pictures taped on the wall. A drum pad sits folded up at the end of his bed. The room looks lived in but not overly cluttered.
Stepping up to the door shared by Daisuke and Jared, Eddie Parker-Mayfair smiles. He's dressed in jeans and an Xavier Institute t-shirt, the power-booster lifts a hand and knocks gently. He then waits patiently, adjusting the backpack on his shoulder.
Daisuke was just getting ready to go practice some druming so he was just about to open the door when Eddie knocked. There's a few monents where Dai doesn't answer mainly because Eddie startled him and he's just recovering. He opens the door and grins when he sees it's Eddie. "I..I should have known it was you." Dai says as there's something…new about Eddie to him.
Eddie blinks a few times. "Really?" he asks. "Hey, Dai," he says with a smile. "How's it going?" he inquires, happy to see his friend.
Daisuke smiles and shrugs before giving Eddie a hug. "I guess it's going okay, more weird stuff happening but over all okay." He invites Eddie in and throws his drumsticks on his desk figuring there's no need for them right now.
Eddie returns the hug and gives a slightly concerned look to Dai. "More weird stuff?" he asks. When the power-booster notices flying drumsticks, he winces. "Sorry if I interrupted ya heading out to the music room."
Daisuke shakes his head at Eddie's wince. "No, I was just going to go practice, it's nothing important." He says with a chuckle. "Yeah…just someone I ran into in the park yesterday down in mutant town. Have you ever heard of something called Kahn'Tah'Te? It's an alien race."
Eddie tilts his head to the side. "Kahn'Tah'Te?" he echo's just barely managing to not mispronounce it horribly. "No, not until you just mentioned them," he says with a smile. "So you met an alien guy in the park?"
"Kinda…just him and I turned out to be linked. It's an alien race that seems to be based off of sound and they kind of merged into human culture a long time ago." Daisuke explains biting his lower lip. "Just that it turns out I'm also some how linked to them. I don't know, I guess I'm some how linked to an alien race."
Eddie listens quietly, blinking a few times. He takes the info in, nodding along until he sees Dai biting his lip. "You're…connected to an alien race? Like…because you've got sonic powers and they're all sound based?" he asks.
Daisuke shakes his head but the nods. "Yes and no. I'm part of that race apparently but not just because I have sound based powers, but it's why I have sound based powers? I'm a mutant and the race is pretty much human, the meld, or blend, into the race they became a part of so I'm not that much different just…it's hard to explain but he showed me something where I know it's true."
Eddie takes in a deep breath as Dai begins. He doesn't let it out until his friend finishes. "Alright…so…you're like…half alien?" he mostly asks the room in general this. "What did he show you?"
"I don't know if I'm half or all. I'm going to ask my grandmother if she knows anything." Daisuke says to Eddie and it's hard to explain just how Jesse showed him. "He showed me the races…our races, history. I'm still trying to go through it all in my head."
Eddie nods and reaches out to hug his friend. "Well…you're still my best friend. So if there's anything I can do to help, no matter how small, just tell me. I'm here for ya."
Daisuke returns the hug and laughs. "I know I'm still you're best friend, you're still mine. Nothing has changed really just…a realization. I'm not any different." He say still chuckling slightly. "It's just weird as all. I might go talk to this Jesse guy a bit more too, since he's one of them..us..it's weird." He says smiling.
Eddie shrugs a little. "Weird's par for the 'course," he chimes. "I mean, when does not-weird stuff happen to us all?" a small chuckle. "If ya want, I'll head up to see the guy with ya. Moral support and all."
Daisuke nods and runs his hand through his hair. "I guess, I know, ever since coming here…well never mind my life's never really been normal to begin with." He leans back and stretches slightly. "I could go for some food soon, I'm getting hungry."
Eddie nods. When Dai stretches, Eddie grins. "Well that's perfect. I came up here to ask if ya wanted to head into the city with me for something to eat and maybe some hanging out. My treat?"
"That sounds great." Daisuke says as he goes to his closet. "I should just get into something different." He's wearing a pair of workout pants and a sleevless shirt so it's easy for him to practice drumming. "I think I'm going to drag you into the art store again." He says chuckling.
Eddie chuckles as well and moves to leave the room. "Sounds good to me," he says. "I'll wait outside for ya to get changed," he says. "And I don' mind the art stores. I like learning the art stuff."
