History

Not much is known about the man known as Slide. He's referred to as Troy at times, and Agent Bay at others. His history and past seem to change every time he tells it. All that is known for sure is that he wears a rather interesting armored bodysuit. He's almost never seen without it.

Powersuit

Internal Translator

The armor that cover's Troy's face has an internal translator. Standard earth languages are programmed into it. Whenever he hears discussions, it will automatically translate them to English for him. Rare dialects are not known. It will also, when activated, alter his speech to the language he needs. His voice, through the suit, is deeper and mildly digitized, to prevent anyone recognizing Troy's voice under it.

Toxin Filter

The suit itself has a basic toxin filter built into it. It filters any airborne toxins/pheromones/spores to prevent them from getting into his body, and blocks skin-contact toxins/pheromones/spores, etc. However, if there is a rip in his suit, that area becomes a good target for such things.

Infra-Vision

The visor in the suit uses infrared to detect heat patterns and give the user a form of night-vision and ability to see through some illusions, depending on what the illusionist can affect.

Force Generator

The suit contains a force generator to simulate durability and strength in the form of minor fields. It can push itself in either direction or split itself between them. However, it can only generate a maximum of 30 tons at any given time. So, if the user is holding up a 30 ton boulder, he has no extra defense on his body, beyond that of a normal (athletic) human. The same applies in reverse, if he's blocking high-level punches, he can't make anything beyond his natural. It can instantly shift between directions, but he has to be wary of what he's doing at any given time. Most of the time, it's left on defense mode.

Image Inducer

The suit has a built in image inducer. It does have a basic appearance, though. (Images above and below)

Environmental Protection

The suit is self-contained and designed to protect the wielder from excessive temperatures in the ranges of 150F to -30F. It will also provide enough pressure protection that he could go fairly deep under water without damage, if he had the proper air supply.

Computer-Access

There is an onboard computer system built into the suit that gives the user access to SHIELD records, dossiers, and to keep him linked in to the SHIELD network. He can be contacted at any time he's wearing the suit.

Flight

The suit has a minor anti-grav device, enabling flight and hovering. He can fly at speeds of up to .5 Mach when necessary, if he allows the computer to make adjustments as necessary.

Friction

The really special thing about the suit is it's frictive field modulator. What this does is enables the user to alter frictive co-efficients between surfaces. In effect, he can create 10-foot diameter rings of altered friction. These areas can affect any type of material including his own body. The frictive co-efficients range, from frictionless, to so frictive that it takes someone with about 20 tons of strength to break-free from it. As of yet, the user doesn't have much skill with it. Over time, he may be able to do such small manipulations as to seal someone's blinked eyes together, effectively blinding them. Frictionless areas are almost impossible to stand on without enhanced agility or to keep a grip on.
