Rating: PG

Westchester - Titicus Reservoir

Surrounded by trees and plenty of green, Titicus Reservoir is a peaceful spot. There is a fence surround the water to keep people out of the watershed. Sorry but there is no swimming in the drinking water. Before the fence is a small park with picnic tables, grills, and a large grassy area for recreational activity. The park is well maintained by the state of New York so it seems clean almost all the time.

It's a fine fresh morning in early spring, about 75 Dgs F and breezy. The birds are back from their winter vacation, and the squirrels are out and about. All in all it's a beautiful day. Though the planet is a lot different than this one, even Ahdi reccognizes a good day when he sees one, and plans to enjoy it. Currently the young hunter is seated cross-legged on a picknick table with his wooden flute out. As he plays quietly to himself he watches some ducks circle over the drinking water and enjoys the feeling of the Earth sun. It's hard to be depressed about living on a strange planet if the planet turns out to be an interesting one.

Fiona is out wandering around in the park - not that she really has any idea where she's going. She came here to see Ahdi, but he didn't really tell her where he'd be; said that he'd find her, if she came, not the other way around! At any rate, she's certainly here now. The sound of a flute being played faintly wafts through the air, and she seems drawn to the noise.

Remembering that Ahdi said he made his home in the woods by Miller Road, Quetzal did some research and found that this was probably the best area. Walking through the woods with Verde in the lead as a raccoon, Quetzal walks cautiously since he has his leg and the cane to worry about. It wouldn't be very flashy of a SHIELD agent to fall on his face. Hearing the flute he figures he's walking in the right direction. He has a backpack slung over one shoulder and as usual, his sunglasses on. As he walks he spots the teenage girl and calls out to her. "Excuse me, Miss."

Ahdi is contint to sit and play on his table, until his sinsative ears pick up the shout by Quetzal. Peranoid as he is that little bit of noise causes the Atjadni to stop playing and spring to his feet. Glancing left and right, Ahdi spots the closest patch of shadows under a thicket of bushes and leaps from his table to land just before the bushes and roll into cover. Now that he has been alerted his nose and ears amp up to full power and he can hear both Quetzal and Fiona easily, even from the distence he happens to be.

Fiona turns, regarding Quetzal with those strange purple eyes of hers, "Yeah?" she asks, looking a little bit surprised. Though the park's a public place, and it's a nice day, so she's not /too/ surprised. And now the flute seems to have stopped - leaving Fiona with no real sound trail to follow. Which means, now she's not sure WHERE to go!

Where as Quetzal might not be able to hear Ahdi his animal companion certainly can and via their psychic link, he knows someone is in the bushes. The Racoon goes wandering off towards where Ahdi is trying to see what is there. "I am looking for a gentlemen who goes by Ahdi Anuati. I am not sure if you are familar with him?" When he speaks he has the same type of accent as Fiona does, puting inflections on his words the same way she does.

Ahdi frowns just slightly as he hears Quetzal speak, knowing the voice though it is changed. He wonders why Quetzal would do this,b but is distracted by the Raccoon he hears coming his way. Slipping his flute away in it's hidden holder he replaces it with the long knife from his calf sheath and starts to creep quietly along the ground. Atjadni train by learning to sneak up on one another. when Ahdi wants to move quietly not even one of his own kind can here him, however he can still be tracked easily enough by smell. Keeping part of his attention on the movements of the Raccoon, the hunter stalks around through the woods to be behind Quetzal and Fiona's current position.

"Well yeah, actually, I just met him yesterday, I figured I would come out here 'n see him," she blinks at Quetzal a bit oddly - she's not really sure WHY but for some reason Quetzal's voice sounds oddly familiar to her. Fiona, alas, is also not altogether aware that Ahdi is stalking the two of them; she doesn't hang out in the woods a lot and doesn't really have a strongly developed sense of that sort of thing.

Quetzal reaches into his jacket and pulls out a pack of cigarettes. As he lights the cigarette as he speaks, his eyes not leaving Fiona. "Mr. Anuati, I have already advised you it is not wise to pull out that knife when around me." Sure Quetzal can't see Ahdi but that does't stop the raccoon, whose standing on his hind legs, front paws in the air. He smiles at Fiona and chuckles. "It seems like our acquantice has found us."

Ahdi ponders this, and glances back at where he hears the raccoon to be. With a sigh he flicks the tip of the knife at the creature, then stands up streight and walks from the cover of the woods to be in the light. He doesn't, however, sheath his knife just yet, "Will no put knife away, you are talk different, is make me think you different Quetzal. You tell me no to show myself to everyone. Your animal, is much good at tracking." The young hunter looks troubled as he walks up to join Quetzal and Fiona, the knife held point downward. He has leaves and twigs stuck in his tangled mess of hair, a new adition sense ither of them saw him last.

Fiona's eyes, however, do leave Quetzal, turning to Ahdi as he finally appears. "Oh! I was wondering where you were…" she glances between Quetzal and Ahdi once again, "I guess there's no need for introduction, then." Catching her eye are the twigs and leaves in Ahdi's hair, "What were you doing, sleeping in a bush?"

"Verde is very much an animal in most senses of the word and raccoons have a very good sense of smell." Quetzal says turing around to give Ahdi a smile as he takes a drag off his cigarette. "I'm sorry if my accent seems at all off, the truth is I don't have a set accent I pick up how other people around me speak." He doesn't go into mutants and super powers figuring it will just confuse Ahdi. Besides he doesn't know Fiona at all. He takes the backpack off his shoulder and offers it to Ahdi. "I brought you a few things since you told me your living situation." The raccoon Verde runs over Quetzal and shifts into a colourful bird before landing on his shoulder. The bird then speaks "You're lucky I didn't turn into a bear and pounce you." Verde didn't like the knife being pointed at him.

Ahdi glances briefly at the bird and studies it, "Mean earth bear? Would die." he says, and gives his head a little shake. His dark eyes then go to the pack Quetzal is holding and he fidgets, "I, do no want take things, am fine on own." stooping he finally sheaths his knife and relaxes. Adressing Fiona last because he feels all the threats have been cleared away he says, "Am no sleep in bush, sleep in tree, no sturdy bush here."

"So weird! At least you're doing okay, though, I um, bought you some stuff! With that money. I figured maybe you could use it," Fiona begins digging through her backpack and comes out with some relatively 'normal' looking clothes; jeans and a couple t-shirts, that should at least vaguely fit the boy. "I wasn't too sure on your size so I bought them a little big! Anyway, wear them when you're in town, so people don't freak out." She holds them out to him, "And none of this stubborn business! People will freak out and run from some guy in a loincloth half the time!"

Quetzal tosses the backpack at Ahdi knowing that he can either dodge it or catch it. "Inside are some clothes, MRE's, blankets, tolietries, bug spray and such." It's all of that simple Army issued type of survial supplies. "And as prideful as you are Mr. Anuati there is no shame in accepting help, especially when you're in a land full of strangers." He finishes up his cigarette and grinds it into the dirt to make sure it's out then rests both hands on his cane held in front of him. "And even this charming young lady has come out here to assit you, are you going to let your pride also get in the way of her assiting you?" He asks raising an eyebrow.

Ahdi steps aside to let the backpack thunk onto the ground. He glances a bit aprehensively from Fiona to Quetzal, then looks at the ground as he steps forward to take the clothes from the girl. "Am sorry if seem disrespectful, am just try prove can live with no help, no money. Do not like money, is very wrong." The Atjadni boy sighs and cradles the clothes to his chest as he steps back again, "Will try no be stubborn, is hard though."

"Who are you trying to prove this too?" Quetzal asks as he finds a fallen tree to walk over and sit on. "Nobody likes money..well unless you're Donald Trump or Scrooge McDuck but it's more a necessary evil." He says reaching up to pet Verde's head. "I don't understand money either but then I'm a bird." Says Verde and Quetzal can't help but chuckle. "So Ahdi." Quetzal says finally using his first name. "How do you go about getting food?"

Ahdi follows Quetzal with his eyes, still holding the clothes to his chest, "Hunt things, will try fruit when more ripe, some plants ar like from Atjad." Walking over to a tree Ahdi starts to put the clothes over a branch, "Animal much weak, though."

Nodding at Ahdi's words Queztal listens quietly. "What will you do if some park ranger finds you out here? What if someone finds your home and figures you're just some homeless guy who needs to be brought away from this area? You are not blending in at all Ahdi." He says concerned that Ahdi's time out in the woods is finiate. "So what are your goals now that you are here?"

Ahdi thinks for a moment as he looks over the clothes hanging from the tree, then turns back around and faces Quetzal. He folds his hands over his stomach, "Human who find me here is no problem. If no want be found, will no be found. No even other ATjadni can find if no want them to." The seccond part of Quetzal's question takes a bit more thought, and he finally gives up trying to figure it out, "Goals? Am no play games. You no mean games, I think."

"Ah to have such confidence." Quetzal says with a smile. "You know Verde here can find you easily just by scent alone." He takes a deep breath and takes off his sunglasses to look at Ahdi. "On this planet some humans are born with extraordinary abilities. As you probably saw when you met that Vance fellow. As for me, I have Verde here who can shift into any animal and we share thoughts, emotions and more. We're bonded. Me, I also can understand almost any language, it's just a gift. I worry about what could happen to you Ahdi and I'll admit, I worry what would happen if you met the wrong person."

Ahdi smiles a half smile and lets Queztal think whatever he wants about his abilities, "Do no worry about me, will be fine. Mutents, some much powerful and dangerous, Xorn already tell this to me. Am able handle self, do no need concern. Am much old for humans, have 51 years of life."

"Ah I see, so you think since you're older than most humans here that makes you better. Leaves you cocky." Quetzal says not giving off his age. "There are more than just mutants out there. And in regards to goals, no I do not mean anything in regards to a game. What is your plan Ahdi. To sit in these woods until what?"

Ahdi has to take a moment to think over the other man's words, then shakes his head slightly, "No better, but Atjadni are tougher than human, live longer too. Means have more experience than most human who are in prime, so, odds are I be fine." The hunter looks a bit uncomfortable about the question about his plans, but responds after a moment, "Will sit in woods, wait to see if Xorn can find home, if no, then will see if he know what should do. I tell him am teacher of my people, make offer to help teach combat ways of Atjadni, what have see of human combat is much disapointment."

"Some human combat can be very impressive." Quetzal says with a smile forming. "But most of it relys on extraordinary weapons, fire power as we call it. Technology is the way of this world." He says as the bird shifts to a bobcat and curls up on Quetzal's lap. "Unfortunately I would prove to be a disappointment in combat as I'm not what I used to be since the injury." He says indicating his leg. "I rely mostly on handguns and rifles now."

Fiona scratches her temple, "There's more than… just technology," she murmurs, shrugging, "But animal-guy here is right, the average person finds you… No problem! Some other people? Not so great. There are people, er, things, out there, that deal in people, even. You need to be wary."

Ahdi reaches up to touch the stalk of the rifle poking over his shoulder, a sniper's weapon it looks like, though built for durability and power rather than the sleek human moddles, "Am good shot with rifle, no waste on man though. Use on Atjad for big game. All elder hunter know how kill big game with knives, teach younger hunter how too, but is no, um, practical. Thing lik Dinosaur is what use rifle for normal, sometime other big game." Ahdi glances over at Fiona and removes the hand from his rifle, "Met dangerous mutent, name Dingo. Is much impressive, will no be once think up way to use weak point."

"Oh Dingo." Quetzal says with an amused smile. "I like him." More like he enjoys getting under his skin. "Dingo is a bit of an interesting case, dangerous, yes but mostly he's not as bad as some out there." He doesn't point to the weapon he's carrying because he doesn't need anyone to know he has it. "You are a Hunter is seems like Ahdi, but are you a fighter? Do you fight for anything besides food and survival?"

"Well does it matter? I mean he can probably fight pretty well…" Fiona looks towards Quetzal - who is this guy anyway? Purple eyes fall upon the military style patches on his jacket it, glowing slightly. Nothing she's /heard/ of… "Don't like guns much anyways though." The statement seems a little off, but they /were/ talking about that earlier. Sometimes she just doesn't think of things in the right order, it seems…

Ahdi shakes his head to Quetzal's question, "Only fight for food, water, to teach others how to fight, and to help fighters who have no weapon. Is also responcibility to fight for defend respect, but xorn say that is bad here." Ahdi leaves his hands clasped over his stomach and glances from Quetzal to Fiona, not really sure who he should be focusing on.

Quetzal offers a hand to Fiona and nods. "Agent Quetzal." But he doesn't say what he's an agent of. "Guns are a wonderful tool if you know how to respect what you're using. If you're not willing to pull the trigger to take a life, you shouldn't use one." He looks down at Verde who looks up at him and swats Quetzal's hand playfully. "Things people fight for here can be power, money, greed, and other negitive things. I always fought to protect those from those hunting power, greed and more."

"No I just meant… they're noisy… and…" Fiona shrugs helplessly, "I guess they're sorta necessary though." She shakes Quetzal's hand, "Aaagent?" she murmurs thoughtfully. "I'm Fiona, anyway. What're you an agent… of, exactly?" the pale girl has never met a cop that had superhuman abilities before, that's for sure. She's heard /rumors/ about other organizations, but not really being in the know - she was never sure if any of them were actually real. "Fighting for respect is pretty common here, though. But usually it's just fist-fights."

Ahdi falls silent now that the other two are getting aquainted. The young hunter takes a half step back into the shadow of the tree he has hung his new clothing from. Glancing from Quetzal to Fiona he sets about attempting to learn from what he sees and hears, hoping they won't notice him edging back.

"The Military." Quetzal says leaving it at that. "And I'm off duty at the moment." He says trying to reassure the young girl that nothing is going to happen. "The number of fist fights I've had with friends for respect have been numerious. Well more braging rights then respect." Quetzal keeps his focus on Fiona as the bobcat on his lap keeps his eyes on Ahdi.

Fiona worried? Psh! Fiona never worries! Except when she does, which is always! She doesn't look altogether happy with the answer that she's been given, but when she is given such an answer, it's always readily apparent that the answer-giver doesn't want her to know. "Well, that's good, I guess. Still, if they find you living here they probably will try to kick you out, Ahdi, and the police DO have special units that deal with people with advanced abilities, because it's common enough… So, we should really think about finding you a better place to live!"

Ahdi squats down in the shadow of his tree and sighs, figuring that leaving a conversation with humans is probably impossible, "Words Lie, cheat, Revenge, Greed, no exist in my language. We no use such words, no act that way…" he stairs at the bobcat as he talks, then turns his eyes on Fiona as he squats, "Am fine here, no need to go live in stone hills, am master of hunt. Do no like the smell of stone hills."

Quetzal raises an eyebrow at Ahdi. "Stone hills?" He's not really sure what that means. "And they may not exist in your language but they certainly exist in ours. I will admit being no stranger to some of those traits. Revenge is something that has clouded my judgement before." He stands up and brushes any dirt off of him. "Though I will say this Ahdi, when the time comes that you no longer are able to stay here, what will you do?"

"He means buildings… Like skyscrapers and such…" Fiona looks back and forth between them, "He's right though, you need… a plan, you know?" she shrugs though - maybe he /doesn't./ Maybe he could just wander around and live in the wilderness like a wild man… until someone shot him, anyway! That puts a worried look on her face.

Ahdi is thinking on how to answer Quetzal when Fiona does it for him, and he brightens, "Will just wander, yes. Have been shoot already by man who can mindspeak, was fine, can just wander." he half smiles, figuring that solves it.

Ahdi has to take another moment to ponder how to answer Quetzal. After a moment he simply waves one hand in a dismissive jesture, "What happens will happen. If I get flush out of woods, will do something. Do no need big plan." The hunter moves both hands to his temples and pushes his leafy hair back behind his ears, "Will be fine, like say. Have been shoot already, have fought weak alien too. Will no be hard survive."

Quetzal looks at Ahdi and shakes his head with a sigh. "You think because you're older you're wiser. Yes I am younger then you, yes I am fourty years old but I almost wonder if your years are the same as our years." He says sliding his sunglasses back over his eyes. "You're not wise Mr. Anuati, you're cocky. Instead of listening to those who have lived on this planet for fourty years you are headsure of yourself. I have tried to assit you as much as I am willing. I apologize for anything that might happen next."

Fiona frowns a little - Quetzal is right, but she figures there's probably a better way to go about it - being blunt usually doesn't solve stubborness. "It'll be okay though, probably. Really." There's a lot of uncertainty in her voice though - but what can she really do? It's not as if she could herself offer him a place to live, even if she could convince him of the necessity…

Ahdi sighs again and closes his eyes, without his usual pause he tells Quetzal, "Has no to do with age, use age only to say have more combat knoladge, longer to learn. Am young for my people. Thing Quetzal do no realize is, he do no know what Atjadni can do. Ask what Will do, what Plan do, no what Can do." The young hunter rubs at his temples, then removes his gloved hands from his head to put them on his knees, "Good hunting, Quetzal." he tells the man, opening his eyes. Turning his attention a bit to include Fiona he adds, "Much thanks for what have brought me, is nice."

Quetzal stops and both him and Verde look at Ahdi and smile. "You went up against Dingo and lived. You carry around a knife and a rifle, you hunt for food, I do not think there is much needing to be asked in what you can do Ahdi. If you would like to tell me you can and I will see if my assumptions are inaccurate. But in that regards I'm more concerned with what might happen to you tomorrow. What is in that backpack is yours, what you do with it is up to you. Use what's in there for fire wood for all I care."

Fiona scratches her cheek a little, "No, don't, really! You should at least see what's in there, it could be really useful… I mean, eventually, anyway, you're going to need new materials right? Would be good to just… you know, keep that stuff, just in case…" nods the girl, "Anyway, you're welcome for the clothes, but it's nothing really…"

Ahdi shrugs, a new jesture for him, and half smiles at Quetzal and Fiona, "Will no burn things was given, will see if have any need for, if no, can find other person who needs stuff." Standing from his crouch he folds his hands over his stomach and bows his head to Quetzal and Fiona, "Sound like you have what can do figure out, have nothing can add. One day, come to visit with no worries? Will be nice talk when person no thinking if I get shot."

"There are people who wish to help you and want you to survive. After all you don't want to end up eating some rabid squirrel." Quetzal says as he doesn't know what eating a cooked animal with rabies would be like. "For now I'll keep your presence here a secret from those who monitor beings like yourself. I do not want to find you discected or subject to experiments." He looks at Fiona and gives her a nod. "Thank you Fiona, for being a kind soul."

"Yeek. Yeah, that would be pretty awful." Fiona looks to Ahdi, and then to Quetzal, "Well, it was his money to begin with! He just didn't want it so he gave it to me… so, I figured, erm. I would do something useful with it…" she trails off, looking a little embarassed about the whole thing - people did give her some funny 'knowing' looks when she was shopping. "I felt kinda bad just keeping it."

Ahdi completely misses the reason why people would give Fiona funny looks and turns his attention to the clothes hanging from the tree, "Quetzal was one who gave money, so was no my money, why people give you funny look? You tell joke?" he reaches up to pull down one of the shirts and look it over again, thoughtful, "Will be careful, Quetzal, trust when say if do no want be found, will no be found. No even buy animal friend."

Quetzal raises an eyebrow at Ahdi and then lets out quite a laugh. Once he's done he just shakes his head, still smiling. "Thank you again Fiona." For reasons she'd never know since he was the one to give Ahdi that money to get things like clothing and food. "Though I must be on my way now. I have to get back to my job. Take care Ahdi and be safe." He then nods to Fiona respectfully. "You take care as well Fiona." He says as he walks off with Verde next to him, the limp in his right leg is quite noticable.

Fiona watches Quetzal depart, looking at over at Ahdi - well that certainly was a strange occurence. "I'm not totally sure about that guy… he seems really nice, but, I sorta get the shivers from him, very mysterious!" As if she, herself, doesn't have anything to hide and is completely normal. Yep.

Ahdi squints at the shirt in his hand, then turns it around and looks at both sides, "He is nice man, much kind, much of own openion. Bet he is important, people follow men as him." Ahdi nods once, then holds up the T-shirt for Fiona to see, "How you know front side?" he asks, curiously.

"The side with the tag on it is the back. You can feel it when you put it on, too," Fiona explains, "And the pockets here go on the front," she presses her hands on her thighs to show the ones she means. "Oh! I forgot shoes…" she looks down at Ahdi's feet to see if he already has some - she didn't remember.

Ahdi looks down at his own home-made mokasins and says, venturing his own openion, "Have, shoes." He is pritty sure they'll get rejected like the rest of his garb, but it doesn't hurt to suggest. Glancing back at the shirt he turns it around and pulls it on over his head, equipment and all still on.

"Mmm… I guess that's okay for now, the shoes - I mean - er…" Fiona watches him pull on the shirt and covers her face with her hand, shaking her head, "Nono, you're supposed to wear just the shirt! And then if you really want, the rifle on over it, but carrying around the gun is going to scare the /shit/ out of people…" she trails off, "Then again, if you leave it laying around it might get stolen. But! The shirt over the furs looks even weirder than just the furs…"

Ahdi pauses, then shrugs and pulls the shirt back off, "Shirt is no good armor though." he points out as he tosses it over a branch, then slips off his bandolier and rifle. Putting them on the ground he starts to unstrap the knife holster that rides on his lower back, "How stop bullets?"

Fiona blinks, "It's not supposed to stop bullets!" she looks at all the furs he's wearing, "You mean those things stop bullets? Don't be ridiculous…" she trails off - there's no way fur could stop bullets! "Shirts are just for covering! You know, keeping you warm or something like that." Though a t-shirt doesn't do that /really./

Ahdi drops his knife to the ground, then undoes the buckles and drags off his jerkin. Tossing it to the ground it thumps down, as if it were heavier than it looked, made of metal, perhaps, though flexable, "Stops bullets." Ahdi responds seriously to Fiona. Reaching down into one of the hidden pockets of his loincloth he pulls out a metallic object and holds it up to the light, it's a flattened bullet of some kind, very large. "Stop this bullet from long rifle."

"Oh… well, I guess you could wear the shirt over that, maybe… I don't know… I didn't know it was bulletproof," Fiona reaches down to poke at the dropped piece of clothing. "Wow, that's pretty crazy…"

Ahdi steps forward to catch ~fiona and his jerkin, one with each hand. Hauling her gently to her feet he lifts up the jerkin like he did the T-shirt and slings it up over the thick branch, "Do no think will like Jean." he says, squinting at the pants as he lets Fiona go on her own two feet, "Are, blue."

"Well, they come in different colors, blue is just the most common…" Fiona trails off, face going red as she's caught, "T-thanks!" she nods as she regains her balance, smoothing out her skirt. "You don't have to wear any of it if you don't want! I just thought it would be a good idea, so they're there if you need to look normal."

Ahdi mutters to himself as he stalks over to the jeans and pulls them off the tree. Glancing from them to Fiona he asks, suddenly, "Why do female humans do that?" One gloved hand motions toward fiona's face, "You Cheek, goes red sometimes. I only see females do it, when male humans do it it is here, and they shout much." he reaches up to tap his forhead as he talks about males, "Females, when they do this they look down, some laugh. Do I tell a joke that is offensive and do no know it?"

"No, it means more like, embarassment, but not exactly… or, being nervous. Like being close to someone you don't know very well yet," Fiona motions towards his arm, "Like just then, when you caught me. Usually guys don't grab girls unless they're family, or they're, you know, together," she crosses her fingers and holds them up, "But it's okay to catch someone who's falling over! Falling over is embarassing too! It's complicated, though."
Ahdi ponders all of this, then nods once, studying Fiona's fingers, "So, can catch if falling, but do no touch if not falling unless together? What is finger sign mean?" as he talks he puts the jeans over one shoulder and starts messing with some leather cords of his loincloth, undoing what looks like leather lacing on ither side.

"It means like, mates. And it's not quite like that; touching a stranger for no reason is not okay, but it's okay to say, tap someone on the shoulder to get their attention. You wouldn't just walk up and grab someone you didn't know, though. But the better you know someone, the more okay it is to touch them. Good friends often hug each other and stuff like that," Fiona explains the intricacies of human physical contact as best she can - of course, she's not totally sure of everything herself!

Ahdi reaches up to rub at his tattooed cheek as his loincloth drops and he stoops to grab it with his free hand, tossing it up over the branch. Lucky for him, his leather pants are of the baggy varity, not like what most leather pants on Earth look like. "Humans." he mutters, then asks, "All is for female? so why when female get red face do Male get red face and want fight me? I do no touch him."

Fiona ponders, "Well guys are different! I couldn't tell you why, but he was probably being a jerk. Although, the gun scares most people. If you have a gun, people think your purpose with it is probably to shoot them. Hunters here, they don't carry guns. They keep the gun put away until they're ready to use it." She breathes a bit of a sigh of relief when she sees that his clothes are not particularly revealing… "Besides, males are really stupid sometimes! Sometimes, they think they're the best, at everything, and they will fight someone just to prove it."

Ahdi stoops to unstrap the seccond knife from his calf, tossing that on with his other equipment. Once the knife is off, it reveals a concealed holster behind it that holds a wooden flute, protected between the knife and his leg most of the time, "Is why human should have rank marks like Atjadni. We know how good oponent is when see him, only fight when train or in sport, though. All anger is strange, human is angry people."

"It's a survival trait. I think, by all accounts we're pretty weak physically. I mean, most of the animals on the planet are stronger and faster, right? But humans have willpower, adrenaline… that gives people a certain amount of strength. It's…" Fiona shrugs a little bit, "It's not good if you let it get the better of you. But humans probably couldn't survive without it."

Ahdi stops, and looks confused, "Most animal stronger on Atjad too, but you animal here weak, like bear, much weak." This being said the young hunter pulls off his flute holster and adds that to his equipment, stands, and pulls the jeans off his shoulder. Looking over them he turns thema round so that they are facing the right way. Reaching down he pulls a couple more leather ties on his pants and they, too, fall like his loincloth did. "Why are metal thing on front of jean, what is for?" he asks casually. Yes he does have on an odd pair of undershorts, sort of like boxer briefs, but nudity doesn't seem to bother him one way or the other.

Fiona turns away slightly, not really wanting to look; in case he drops his last piece of clothing. That and - well he is pretty built! "You zip it up, it makes them stay on instead of falling down. You just pull the little tab up. 'n then the little round piece goes in the hole."

Ahdi squints down at them, "Why do no just tie? Would be easier, no so, shiny." He critisizes the jeans like they did somehing personally to him, but regardless he pulls them on and quickly follows the instructions given. Picking up his pants to add them to his tree collection of leathers and extra street clothes he glances down at his new stuff, now wearing his Atjadni gloves and mokasins, a T-shirt, and blue jeans, "Are, no so loose as other pants, will have be careful no rip, do no feel heavy, ither."

"Well there are some pants that tie, just, the snap is easier than tying. Ties on pants are more of a girl thing anyway! Well sorta," Fiona nods, "Yeah, they are much lighter! And they will get torn if you are not careful, especially how strong you are. A normal person probably wouldn't have too much trouble with them, but then, a normal person couldn't even /wear/ that stuff you wear! They wouldn't be able to /move./ We had stuff like that /hundreds/ of years ago."

Ahdi quickly gathers up his equipment, and then pulls down all the clothes from the tree to drape over his shoulders, "Is good armor, if people had, what did human do with all animal who make it?" he glances off toward the woods, "That is animal would no mind hunt, armor is made of hide of big game from Atjad, much tough animal…have go hide stuff now, I hope come visit some day when not afraid will die." he hessitates for a moment, then adds with his usual half smile, "Are much pritty, is always good to see. Also very white, no seen someone so white." The last bit seems to be a joke, but he doesn't wait around to see if Fiona thought it was funny. Bowing his head to her Ahdi turns and loaps off into the trees, as per usual making almost no sound.
